By taping the temperature probe to a water bottle, I got a more consistent temperature read out. Then set the controller to 38 with 1 degree of resolution. The temp fluctuates from 36-40... setting the psi to 10, with 36-40 degrees range fixed my foaming issues.

I also found if the gaskets on the part of the keg that twist on have a crack or dried out can cause bubbling in the line and keg lube can help.

To fight reason 2. I have gotten accustomed to pouring half of one beer, it foams but starts chilling the line. I then pour a second beer in full. Now the line is chilled enough and I finish the pour on the first beer. Both 23oz glasses usually have about the same servable amount of head with this method.

Also make sure your glassware is clean! Especially at self serve keg parties, a lot of people will top off a dirty glass/solo cup and complain about foam when there's nothing wrong with the pour.

Someone showed me a trick of put a smaller tube or restricting item "inside" the beer line. I found a 1/8" OD food grade tubing, and put it in my 3/16 line. Less than 4 feet of hose, perfect pour every time!

My foaming issue I found was a small crack at the top of the dip tube so was sucking up air and beer.

My cause was too low co2 pressure. I cranked it up to 12.5psi and it pours smooth as glass. I then added a flow control faucet to slow down the pour a bit. Not necessary, but it worked out well.

Using a kegerator with a stainless tower similar to the one your using in our basement home bar. Any experience/knowledge of using expandable foam insulation in the tower to help retain temp in the hoses to reduce the heat component? Obviously would make changing the tubes out a gigantic PITA, but wondered if it would help? Prost!

What cools the lines is the air in the tower. Using expanding foam reduces the volume of cool air you can pump in to the tower. They make insulating sleeves that fit on the outside of the tower, which would be a better option. I know that blocks the great look of the silver tower but the fan and sleeve are a better option.

Just would like to clarify, that a lot of types of beer are supposed to have foam, especially in Europe. So be careful what kind of beer you have first.
