I had a whole dinner planned to cook on Wednesday and after watching the drama unfold in the Capitol my boyfriend and I just looked at each other and agreed that we were definitely just ordering pizza. Absolute craziness!

You can do a quick soak of beans in the instant pot. Cover beans with water and set on manual for 0 minutes. It brings to pressure and then releases immediately. Just rinse the beans and use. Soaking helps to make your beans less gassy!

Yes I said I soaked them & the recipe has instructions for doing it in the instant pot that's how I did it 🙂

For New year's day we have kielbasa, and sauerkraut in the crockpot with the little white potatoes also. It's a tradition in our house. SO yummy!!!!!!!!! That Chicken alfredo ravioli bake sounds delicious! I'm going to make that very soon. The stuff that happened at our Capitol was VERY hard to see and hear about, my tummy was in knots and my anxiety shot through the roof. Hugs Taylor!!!!!! We live about 8 miles from the Capitol so it was a little stressful to see what was going to happen in our area and I was glad that it didn't affect us except the curfew from 6 pm to 6 am. I was worried that roads were going to close down and other things while my husband was still at work. Super glad that I am not working in the city or on Capitol Hill now and I feel for all the people that were there. Chicken Scampi sounds amazing. I am allergic to shrimp so this would be an amazing option for me!!

I grew up with the traditional New Years dinner but I don’t do it because I don’t eat black eyed peas or greens. I love pork but that’s about it on the traditional dinner. Everything looks good! Can’t wait to make that chicken scampi! Yum!

Love your channel!! I was going to make red beans and rice this week too. I know it generally calls for some type of smoked sausage but I was thinking of using up some chicken sausage. Not sure if I should try that if not but trying to use what I have on hand. Has anyone tried it that way??

I know how you feel Taylor. I felt that way back during the BLM with the killing, rioting and looting. Destroying businesses, etc etc. All pretty bad and we are getting a repeat of 2020
