That tortilla pie is a masterpiece wow
@LetsCookYall3 жыл бұрын
@Kathy Holberton - Hey Kathy!! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching! The taco pie was really good, and it's so easy and so very versatile. Add meat or make it meatless. Use whatever beans you like, whatever seasonings you like. Add tomato or avocado or whatever you want, use whatever cheese you have on hand. It just needs to heat through and the cheese melt in the oven, so a really quick one, especially if you have leftover taco meat or even rotisserie chicken that you can season up (or go meatless and just do beans and cheese). I hope you get a chance to try it sometime!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

Cuts like a pie Vegetables in the easy pot and sausage I'll put the sausage in with the vegetables ,sausage and pepper's and onions my favorite food to eat (Italian sausage).Will make these 3 for sure .Thank you for sharing great recipes 🙏❤👍😊

@Debbie Reilly - Hi Debbie! Thank you so much for stopping by this week and watching, and for commenting! That's awesome, I am so very happy to hear that you are getting some ideas for meals and things to cook at your house. We did enjoy the veggies out of the Instant Pot, but I personally think they had more flavor when I made them last year, because the sausage flavors the veggies more, as it all cooks together. You can definitely use any sauce you like and toppings and meat or meatless for the taco pie - the original recipe calls for green chili sauce or salsa (plus avocado, green onions and corn tortillas, but I've just always used flour because I have them on hand all the time). You can make it however it fits your tastes and what you have to work with :) Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

@Sharon Woodham - Hi Sharon!! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel and especially for taking the time to watch and to leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and we hope that you will enjoy the content on our channel.💜 Girl, I've popped a towel over the valve almost since the beginning, but have received several concerned comments about the fire hazard potential, so I do try to add that disclaimer. I use mine out on my open island, and so the steam is not under my cabinets or in an otherwise enclosed area, and I keep an eye on it so that nothing will happen. However, that being said, I'm more of the opinion (right or wrong), that IP *has* to say that, sort of like McDonalds has to put on their coffee cups a warning that says, be careful, this is hot! LOL! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

Well, it took me two days but I finally watched the entire video!! 🏆🎈🎊 The layered taco was divine inspired. It was pleasing to the eye as well as palate. I would top it with the usual suspects lettuce, tomatoes, avocado etc. We adore fresh pineapple, especially grilled. Unfortunately, my daughter can't have it. We are beginning to see fresh local produce but not regularly. We have had fresh greens and strawberries are beginning to actually taste like a strawberry. Our Easter was very low key. I hope you have a wonderful week.💖

You are so sweet! Absolutely make the taco pie to whatever fits your taste. The original recipe had no meat and a green salsa or enchilada sauce, but it's easy to swap out to whatever you and your family likes. I love grilled pineapple too, and am hoping we can work in one of my favorite summer meals soon (we've shared it in its own video, it's a grilled pineapple chicken with grilled pineapple and veggies on the side). I'm so sorry that your daughter can't have pineapple :( Our Easter was very low-key as well, just the two of us :) Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

And nice job on the guacamole. 🥑 Like Tim, I’m a huge fan of kielbasa! I had Keith throw some on the grill last night with his usual chicken breasts, yum! We've shown it before, though it has been quite a while and it was in one of our "Around the House" videos, so I really debated about adding it, but now I'm so glad I did! Like you, I used to buy them precut in the little containers, and while it's a great convenience, it's just so expensive! When I can find pineapples on sale, they are so easy for me to cut now and slice up myself. You will need a good chef's knife, but other than that, it's really quite easy! I can't wait to hear if you get a fresh pineapple and give it a go!! Hooray!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

They needed a bit more seasoning, but I did enjoy them and ate about 9 or 10 of them myself for breakfasts and lunches. But knowing that Tim is just NOT a quinoa fan, it's probably not worth it for me to tweak it and try again, LOL! Chicken Santa Fe is on permanent rotation at our house and has been for over 25 years (it's one of the first recipes that ever gave me confidence in the ability to prepare something that both of us liked, LOL!). I cannot count how many times we've made it and shared it with friends and family, and now our KZbin family. It's so easy and so versatile, make it spicy with spicier salsa or more seasonings, add more beans and less corn or vice versa, leave out the cream cheese (but we always add it!), etc. Tim loves it over chips like a chunky nachos and I try to be a wee bit healthy and eat over brown rice, but I always sneak a fair amount of chips, for the crunch factor. It's not a pretty dish to photograph, but it's so good and so easy, and we've just always loved it! I'm so so SO glad to hear that all of you enjoyed it, and that it worked for you guys tonight! @Lindsay Snipes - Hi Lindsay! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel and especially for taking the time to watch and to leave us a comment. We are so glad you are here, and we are even happier to hear that you guys have been enjoying the content on our channel - that's awesome!!! 💜 To answer your question - if you are asking about the stainless steel pans that I used to saute the peppers and onions and then added the chicken sausage, and then on another burner I used a similar one (large one is 12" and veggie one was 10"), then those are some Calphalon stainless skillets I bought many years ago at either TJMaxx or Marshalls. I tend to buy my cookware there, a piece at a time, and try out new surfaces. I've tried nonstick, hard anodized, cast iron, ceramic, copper and now a small stone one. I like to experiment, and mostly, I like different pots and pans for different purposes. Usually, when I find something at Marshalls, it is being phased out of regular stores like Macy's or Target, so these pans are likely not available any longer. There should be similar ones in Calphalon, KitchenAid, or more expensive brands like Analon or All Clad. I really like cooking on my gas cooktop with stainless, because once you get the pan hot and then add cold oil (which is why I always show testing for heat with my hand before adding the oil), then it becomes a good surface for searing, and usually ends up fairly nonstick. These stainless pans are so easy to clean with powdered Bar Keepers Friend and a nice scrubby. I have had them for many years, probably 10 or more, and they are still in really good shape. I hope that helps!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

I bought my hubby a very expensive knife sharpener about 10 years ago - that HE ASKED FOR - enuf said ! Y’all stay safe neighbor and God bless❣️ 👵🏻

@Janet Smith - Hi Janet!! Thank you so much for stopping by this week and watching!! Oops, sorry to be late to the party with the pineapple tutorial, LOL! I love my Wusthof santoku knife, it is my favorite kitchen tool, hands down. Tim is really good about keeping my knives in good working order for me (maybe your husband just needs a little nudge to help with that sharpener of his, haha!). I know that many years ago, I would always buy the pineapple already cut up in the plastic container and realized, hey, it can't be that hard to cut and it sure would be a lot cheaper :) So, now I take the extra 4-5 minutes and cut my own, whenever they go on sale. Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

Years ago, when we were first married and before Tim found the game of golf, he was an avid hunter, especially a deer hunter. We always had a deep freeze full of venison. I don't like the taste of it, especially things like backstrap (which he adores) and anything that hasn't been ground or processed or stuffed into a sausage casing! He wanted venison every night, so I feel your pain!! Tim is still quite a carnivore, with or without his beloved venison! Hope you are both having a great weekend. Hi Stacy, I loved the pineapple at the end, I got Mama a "fruit of the month" club delivery for the whole year, This month she got a pineapple, She dont know how to cut it ,so I brought it to my house and cut it up for her, I cut mine almost like you do. I cut the top and the bottom off and then slice off the sides. Then I cut down around the core ,so that I have spears like you and the core stays whole. Then I eat around the core and eat on the bottom and top pieces. lol. It was a good sweet pineapple. Tim really is a true Master slicer of your taco pie. It came out nicely, I would have mangled it all up. Awesome meals. xoxo

@Mrsemptynester - Hey Jana!! Thank you so much for stopping by this week and watching! I hope you and your family, and your sweet mama, had a wonderful and truly joyous Easter! Aww, I bet she loves her fruit of the month club. Always fun to get things in the mail!! I may or may not nibble on the core pieces after I slice them off on the diagonal... LOL!! You could definitely make that taco pie, the original recipe that I got so many years ago did not call for meat, or you could always use veggie crumbles. So good and so easy!! The longer it sits, the easier it is to cut (but Tim is so impatient, he always cuts things HOT and then they break and tear apart and ooze all out, haha!). Hope you guys have a great week ahead! Hugs ---Stacy 😍💚

@LetsCookYall3 жыл бұрын
@Lisa Beierling - Hey Lisa!! Thank you so much for taking the time today to stop by and watch, and Happy Easter to you and your family! The first time I did the green beans and potatoes, I did add the sausage as the recipe stated, and I do think (personally) that it was a bit more flavorful by adding the sausage. I guess some of the seasoning and grease from the sausage helped flavor the veggies. Tim has a local sausage that he adores and he really loves to throw it on the grill, so he asked specifically that I please not pressure cook his favorite sausage, LOL! If you are trying it and you guys like sausage, I would definitely cut some up into coins and toss in with the veggies, and use lots of your favorite seasonings. I hope you do get a chance to try it, and we'd love to hear if it worked for y'all. Happy Easter!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚✝

Old El Paso used to sell a kit to make the taco pie. It was called Taco Bake. It came with the tortillas sauce and also a cheese sauce. I used to make it frequently but I haven’t seen it in the stores in years. It was so good!
@LetsCookYall3 жыл бұрын
@APRIL ZOTOS - Hi April! Thank you so much for stopping by this week and watching! I don't tend to buy kits or a whole lot of premade items, thought I do try to keep some on hand for those days when I really just do NOT want to cook. I have never seen that kind of kit, but it does sound really similar. This is so easy to make, and totally versatile, and you can customize it to your tastes, as well as to what you have on hand. If you want meat, add it, or else make it meatless. If you don't like refried beans, then leave out the bean layer, or maybe replace it with black beans or pinto beans that you have smashed, seasoned up, and then thinned with a sauce (enchilada sauce, taco sauce, anything). Use whatever cheese you like, and as much or as little as you like. So easy and so good, I hope you'll give this a try sometime, since you can't find the Old El Paso kit any longer. Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚

@LetsCookYall3 жыл бұрын
@@a.j.4661 - ah, cooking for two is a little easier than cooking for growing boys! I have never tried it in a large pan, but have seen recipes for like a mexican lasagna or layered taco bake like this. I bet it would work in most any size pan. After all, if you choose to use meat (taco meat, meatless crumbles, maybe seasoned rotisserie chicken), then that is already cooked, as well as any type of beans or cheese. You really just have to get it all heated through, until everything is hot and all of the cheese melts. I bet it would work great in most any combination or size pan :) I hope it works, I'd love to hear if you do get a chance to try it and if it worked for you and your crew (we realize that not everyone has the same taste that we do, but we do love this one!). I hate people who complain especially if it's about KZbin. If they don't like that you use an air fryer because they don't have one then they either don't need to keep watching your videos or else learn how to do it the old fashioned way on their own since it's not that hard to look up a recipe since you literally SAY where you got the recipe from.. one of the two. But don't complain about the content just because it's not something you're fond of. If you don't like it, don't watch. That's why I watch so many different cooking channels because each one is either a different cooking technique or style of food. I like a variety.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between white and black pepper? Great video as always!
@LetsCookYall3 жыл бұрын
@Jen Cynnn - Hey Jen!! Thank you so much for stopping by this week and watching! I'm definitely not an expert, but I think that it comes from how they are picked and harvested, the peppercorns. I know that I like to use white pepper if I'm making something like a white sauce or bechamel and I don't want the dark flecks of pepper (I almost always use my pepper grinder and it has coarser pieces than just ground black pepper). I've heard for years on cooking schools and the one time that I attended a local cooking class, the chef said that white pepper "hits" a different place on your tongue than black pepper. So sometimes I use both, because we both really like pepper, and I try to limit the use of salt and use other seasonings and pepper. That may not help, but I hope it does!! I often substitute ground turkey for ground beef, so I think you would totally be able to do that in most recipes. As for the taste of turkey sausage, I don't mind it one bit and even though I can tell that it is not beef sausage, I actually like it. Tim will eat it, but he definitely prefers this high-fat local sausage that we buy for him. I would definitely get a package and try in a favorite dish for your husband and see if he likes it. And of course, there's tons you can do with chicken! Have you ever tried ground chicken? I like that and use it for meatballs and also Ranch Chicken Burgers that I love for Tim to grill in the summer. We've actually shared a video on them, check that out here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZSyooOViZd6bKs Hope that helps! Take care and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy😍💚

Stacy, I've been watching you for some time and try to keep things positive. I must say that those who have the time to pick on you must not understand where many of us are coming from. So you use an air fryer. Good for you and were I able to afford one, I would do so as well. Why is this a problem for someone who gives their free time to watch your lovely videos which somehow obviously upset them? I don't prefer science fiction videos, so don't watch them. If they don't like how you do things, move on, yes? Egg cracking. I'm something of an expert on eggs as we have a small farm and have held chickens and ducks in my lap while they were laying eggs. Think of all the negative comments that would garner you had you said that. Our girls are spoiled, forage in pristine meadows and are buttoned up tight each night. All are named after flowers and give the nicest eggs. We share as many as we can, but as times are hard, have to keep more than usual. Chickens and ducks lay eggs and it's a healthy and wonderful process. We do give our eggs a little wash when we bring them in and like the heathen I am, crack them on the (clean) counter, side of the bowl, etc. No one has died and with people being homeless, no jobs, children going missing serious health and financial issues, I suspect there are bigger fish to fry. We are barely going due to several set backs and there's no reason to be unkind to another. Please don't let others hurt you, Honey. Just keep being your sweet self. Sending love to you and Tim.

@Nana Papa - Hey Wendy!! Aww, thank you for the loveliest of comments! You are incredibly kind and supportive, and we appreciate it so much more than you know! You are right (and I really wasn't trying to complain, but I know someone, somewhere, is always unhappy with our videos because they usually feel compelled to tell us, LOL!), and it really is not a big deal. As you said, there's so much going on in the world, and if something in a random YT video upsets you, you really probably need to find another outlet! How wonderful about your chickens and ducks, so cool!! I bet they produce so well for you guys because they are so well loved and cared for :) I'm so sorry you are having a rough patch, and we will be praying for you guys. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help, besides pray. Sending big hugs and love right back to y'all!! Happy Easter!! Take care, and have a wonderful and truly blessed day ---Stacy 😍💚✝
