I laughed when you mention about the condiments. Brought back to when I brought my 89 yr old Aunt dinner every Saturday and would have dinner with her. When I would go to our favorite Fish Restaurant to pick up fish dinners for us, I knew I would have to get extra tarter sauce as she ate that like it was a side dish. She has since past few yrs ago and I still laugh when we go there to eat and I would be putting on my tarter sauce thinking of her. She was a gem.

I'm always so excited for the what's for dinner episodes. They keep me company and often I rewatch them while I cook or just want to relax. Lol I'm going to be rewatching your gardening videos again for the 3rd year in a row since I finally got my land. :) We have our chickens now, too! Not laying yet though. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

We no longer buy store-bought flour… We mill our own grains. It’s been life-changing. By doing so we consume 100% of the nutrition of the grain versus the very small amount we get from buying store-bought, plus avoiding all of the other additives. I think you made a great investment. 🙂

I made your flat bread a few minutes after watching the video on Saturday. Our oldest daughter was home and had brought some fresh mozzarella cheese that she needed to use along with a pesto and a roasted red pepper/artichoke tapenade. I didn’t have any yogurt but used some sour cream that needed to be used up. They were absolutely delicious! After frying the first side and flipping it, we loaded it up with the cheese, pesto, tapenade, tomatoes and some fresh basil. Yum, they were so good! Only thing I would do different is add a little salt. Thanks so much for the recipe!

It all looked so good! I agree, those pantry condiments really do make the meal. I use the pickled Cole slaw, corn relish, and cowboy candy on everything from sandwiches, tacos, stir fry, and even chilli. I am hoping to try the sweet potato biscuits this week with sausage gravy. For some reason, it just sounds really good right now. Have a blessed day! 🌻

I love these episodes (all of them really) but I admire that you two will sit down and talk about what’s going on and how you think through things that are going on. I don’t really have anyone to talk to about these things so I’m thankful for your wisdom and advice. I have also been making sure we have extra food and pantry items just in case so I can feed my children. Thank you again so much & many blessings to you both ❤

Storing wheat berries for future use is super wise. I keep them on hand all the time. I love to grind my flour fresh, but the ability to store them for long periods of time are a main reason I keep so much in my long term storage pantry.

Could you have added the coconut milk to the curry before you canned it, since it isn’t dairy? I thought the talk about the condiments was funny. You’re a foodie and a lot like my husband. I like more plain food like Todd, but more so, although the corn salsa does sound good to me. And the flatbread sounds really good!
