Sadly, it's much worse than that. Yemen imports roughly 40% of its wheat from Ukarine and Russia. With this current war in Ukraine, it's likely we'll see major disruptions in wheat exports. This makes the already dire famine in Yemen that much worse.

I am from the US, and I just want to say, it is absolutely disgusting what the US as well as the EU is doing to your country! It's simply Imperialism. The excuse for the US and EU Supported and Saudi-led invasion of your Country, under the pretense that the Houthi's are "backed by iran", is as pathetic as the excuse that Putin uses to justify invading Ukraine - Nato Expansion. I have followed this conflict for years, and am also well aware of the extensive history of the US and EU forcing many dozens of countries to serve their wealth and corporate interest. The US and EU rely on a mix of things to force countries to capitulate to their demands: 1. The rampant use of espionage, political subterfuge, diplomatic coercion, the threat or actual use of sanctions, and the threat or actual use of coups or military invasions, in order to make the governments of third world countries capitulate to extremely unreasonable demands, and being forced to setup a favorable government to foreign interest, thus enabling point 2. 2. Extremely massive and persistent corporate take over huge swaths of the land, natural resources, industry and infrastructure of third world countries, almost predominately by the US and EU, and in more recent times to a lesser extent by Modern China. This process is disgusting, but it is the truth of the world. The "success" of Global Capitalism is built on the neo-colonial domination of as many third world countries as possible, especially to support the wealth of the western world. Kwame Nkrumah is a great thinker that I admire who has written extensively about this. As you are in Yemen, i would consider him essential reading for all Yemeni people, as well as all oppressed peoples of the world! One of his most critical works is titled "Neo-Colonialism: The Last Stage of Imperialism". I absolutely recommend giving this a read, as It will shed a great deal of light on the reason why the Saudi's have invaded your country at the behest of US and EU interest.
