Oh I hope the thumbnail competition is still open. Here is my bid. 1. They stand out, they really pop in the sea of thumbnails because : (2) the font is really simple and easy to read - this may also show that your video message is no frills and tells it as is; ( 3)Your face is clear on each thumbnail, a) it identifies you and b) eyes are drawn to faces; (4) The backgrounds are an orange colour that I associate with Etsy, which of course the channel is about.

Unfortunately I have to have my products set to 1-5 days even though I ship every day because I can get no orders for two or three days and then all of a sudden I’ll get six orders and I can’t get them all out if they’re not made on time

It’s interesting you say that Etsy wants to be Amazon because I totally agree. Not only Etsy but everybody who say that, they want to be Amazon because why not? They are indeed the biggest retailer today!

I made one video that features positive reviews and samples of my prints that I use with every listing. There is no way I'd be up to making a new video for every listing, and this seems to satisfy Etsy.
