We might see elder scrolls 6 before Hytale happens. I don´t know anymore. Minecraft 2 has always been a dream. And Hytale seemed to be delivering that. But then again, this was sooo many years ago. I have listened to the Hytale OST over and over again. Now when I jump into Hytale someday in the year 2030 or so, the soundtrack will be like nostalgia, but not Hytale. They took that from me. My brain won´t be able to put Hytale and its OST into one memory. They are going to be separate from each other. As if I just put my favorite music on while playing a game. Never had that before

@@pizz2101 Nahh I don't think YEARS. They're just making a game where you use blocks. Not some AAA MMORPG or anything. I think the game has been pretty much finished they're just perfectionist and don't want any blemishes at all so I think they're in development hell for the time being. What they should of done was forgot about putting the game on smaller platforms like the switch and older consoles for now just to streamline the progress.

i had to google squadron 42, it's been so long since i paid star citizen any mind so i forgot it still didn't have a single player campaign (slated for 2026) we can be pretty sure GTA 6 will eventually release, it'll crack it's skull tripping over the finish line (expectations are lofty for this much dev time and their last showing was just mid) but it'll get there (slated as of last mention for 2025) and while i'm struggling to imagine hytale winning this race (engine overhauls plus smaller team don't do great at this) it's still the only one i care about anymore (also i've started being a beta tester for another game while plotting my own game and i know the hellish reality that is making a game work)

But when that happens for Hytale it's like... a once a year blog post showing a little art for the game and being like "We're working on it!" and like... okay... cool... Nothing really substantial or hinting that the game is getting close to release.

No it wasn't hyped too early. Hype set up lofty expectations that the Hytale they were making back then couldn't live up to so Hypixel literally decided to scrap the old engine, make a new engine from scratch, and then redo the progress they made up to the trailer release. Essentially they started over because of all the hype. Had there been much less reception Hypixel probably would've released it much earlier

They were finished or at least nearly finished developing the dynamic sound and lighting effects supposedly as we see in gameplay footage before the engine rework. That game was almost finished. You don’t work on dynamic sound effects near the beginning or middle of development. If the Hytale people are excited for was nearly finished in 2020 or perhaps even 2019, why were they so inclined to scrap the whole engine? If what they advertised in the trailer was what they had been planning the whole time before riot, what difference would it have made? The hytale we are waiting for right now is not the same hytale, everyone can agree with that. Better? Maybe. Bigger? Possibly. Better performance? Possibly. Here’s the problem though, they want to fulfill our expectations. They never said exceed them. Meaning the hytale we saw in the trailer either wasn’t what the actual game was like, or it’s a lie. If development was going to take at least 5 years for the new engine and everything, why not make the most of the product they spent tons of time and money on? Sell it as a beta, or even just an early access. They’d make money to help fund their project, at the very least. Instead they wasted years of development. Everyone wants hytale. No one asked for hytale 2 yet. Yet they’re so convinced everyone needs more than what we saw in the trailers. Here’s where speculation comes in. Warning, these are my opinions which are likely not going to be true. So don’t try to fact check me if you disagree. Hytale is a fake game, created using cleverly produced animations. No one has ever “played Hytale” and instead every bit of “gameplay” we’ve seen is just animated rendering. We’ve seen stuff being done in Hytale, but we’ve never seen the ‘game’ of hytale. Think about crafting. Very important part of a crafting adventure game. We’ve seen nothing. Think about stats such as armor, hunger, attack damage. We don’t know. They’ve said nothing about cave generation, progressing through the story, or even just a tech tree. This is all I know about actual gameplay, and if anyone knows other actual “gameplay” elements and not story or visuals, please tell: - Terrain generation - Loot from chests - farming - tactical combat with special attacks - magic spells - picking up rocks and throwing them - boss fights (or just rare powerful enemies) If anything, I think a crafting system overview would be enough to convince me this game is real. I actually really hope it is. Perhaps they’re simply not proud of their crafting system but that’s fine. It wouldn’t hurt if it was simple like terraria’s instead of shaped crafting. My other proposal is that the game is actually poorly made, or at least was, and the past few years have simply been work to cover up their mistake. They didn’t expect the popularity, which is known very well, which means they might not have done most of what they promised in the trailer. It might have just been the equivalent of Minecraft alpha. Regardless, Hytale has something up. Be it poor financial decisions, a lazy team, or just being a scam somehow (not likely since they aren’t raising money from the community) it’s going through something nonetheless. It’s obvious people are tired of waiting for this new game they want to make so bad instead of the original, but I can only ask why they wouldn’t have simply done this rework afterwards to clean up and allow for any console to play. Keep the alpha on PC since it was originally Java coded, make it $10 or something to support development for the official release, and release the final version for $20-60 with a discount or free to those who bought the alpha. If they’re that worried about people’s disappointment with the original game as they claim, what do they think is wrong with the game? If the original game was like the trailer, they had nothing to worry about since THAT is what people wanted.

I'm still rooting for the Dev's success and the success of Kweebec Roots! :D Also, I could totally picture it how there could be different kinds of Skellies, from those that are alive via 'Possessing Soul' kinda thing to those that are simply animated like puppets via Void Magic, and are distinguished most easily via their Eye Sockets Glow invoking the good ol' TVTrope "Color Coded for Convenience". :) Since Mr. Big Bad is a big shot at Void Magic Use, I could totally picture idiot fool Orbis Void Magic Users finding out about Mr. Big Bad's existence and plotting and scheming some 2 I.Q. Plot to summon Mr. Big Bad to Orbis craving the kinda power he could give, then that promptly not ending pretty and ending up becoming the beginning of the end of that Civilization, then eventually Orbis's Peace and Prosperity, and even Gaia not managing to stop it... prompting the need for us Player Character's help in setting things right. Still curious if the SP Story could end up open ended as to if 'help' is or is not what the Player Character can choose to give...? For some, the temptation of the Dark Side can be strong... also it's a known Big Bad Playbook trick to look for ways to trick Heroes into accidental making things worse for themselves and better for the Big Bad. :P Edit: How did Google Chrome's Spellchecker look at "fromm" and say "Hmm... no problem here."...? Yet it gives the razz to "Spellchecker"... 🤦‍♂

There is no world in which Hytale does not come out. They're backed by Riot and can be promoted to hell very quickly. My honest guess is that we have an either fully finished or closed/open beta tests sometime in 2026.

Ik Hytale is planning to reveal a lot of things in the coming time (hopefully anyway), but I think a better approach for them to take would be a consistent stream of bite-sized spoilers, rather than big announcements and grand reveals People really love and care about this game and just want to see it progress! Plus, as important as their milestones are to share, the details in any game are what really tie it together, and I think if they made monthly or so posts with just the most randomist details about certain things they've completed (e.g. particle animations, creature models, funny mistakes, mob behaviours, etc. etc.) people would be much kinder to the game's long developement But idk lol I just hope we see smth new soon ❤

I’ve said this almost every video but again; I’m glad this game is slowly and patiently coming along. Nothing kills my enjoyment for a game more than remembering the crunch devs had to go through to make it a reality. I also legit like the fact that I get to have this in the background to check in on. It’s like looking out my window and seeing a house being slowly built over the course of a few years, It’s neat when you see they’re gonna be adding a patio or a basement. I’m not eager, nor really should I be until it’s ready, and we’ll know that it is when the game gets advertised to hell and back by riot. People just be getting upset over something that has no negative effect on their lives at all. I almost think that they want it to be canceled so they can watch all “the rise and fall of hytale”. Just very silly all around. Hope the devs and creatives are doing great they deserve all the love in the world for working hard and taking their time despite the pressure of others.

It would be more trustworthy and you wouldn’t be pressured into someone’s narrative of the news. Example: Someone who is a hardcore fan of hytale might skew the info or display it in a certain way to make it seem more plausible for something such as a release date when in reality, the team didn’t confirm anything about that

i'm really interesting in hearing from the team about how the engine/language change will affect modding. i think i remember seeing once that they wouldn't have actual loader mods with scripts and what-not and instead would have some kind of online GUI based mod development system. as a programmer, i'm concerned that modding may become convoluted or less powerful than with minecraft.

I don’t exactly know why I’m not dissatisfied or disappointed by the delays but my main hypothesis’s are either my forgetfulness (😅) or that it’s due to delays being not uncommon in my own family (we’re all creatives, I used to joke that we were essentially an extremely extended Artist’s Retreat lol) so the concept of showing off your art and getting a one-two punch of inspiration and high expectations from fans and then deciding to rewrite it to meet those expectations while including the new ideas the fans provided was familiar to me (never experienced it myself but being a creative I can empathize and recognize it from the wider creative community) and it honestly made total sense! All those new perspectives and high hopes would not only fuel you to make it better but also pressure you to make it better, my main disappointment is that they didn’t try to stand their ground more and stick with their initial ideas but It’s not my game, so who am I to tell them what to do?? That’s not much job 🤷‍♀️

Community does not bring out a game, the developer does and they have not shown or prove anything that would bring in any sort of confidence regarding a release. They made a mistake moving away from whatever engine they had before. The new images do NOT look better than any previous images we had.

I am concerned at this point just due to how long it is taking. They have a huge team and it's taking this long, I'd have to imagine this game is gonna be massive but with how long it is taking and the growing saturation in Minecraft style clones in recent months I fear that the longer this takes and if it does not hit every single mark at release while simultaneously acquiring the entire internets attention and 100s of all the Top streamers and KZbinrs to play it.... this is kind of a all in living on a prayer. 2 years away most likely and.... we have been waiting how long now? Also worth noting it also has to get lucky with the release date and current status on games like Roblox, Minecraft & Fortnite on release, if they are peaking yet again it could severely hurt this game's launch too.

Why would red glow indicate that they're being controlled (implying that the prior blue glow wouldn't, else the observation wouldn't really make much sense in context). Both colors COULD indicate that they're being controlled, or simply an artistic representation of the animating "magic"/energy making them undead as opposed to just dead.

I just think it’s kind of sad to think about that the Game was close to finished, and then they pulled the rugs and just announced a engine rewrite. This could have been done as a huge Update and been released later on.

Imagine If Minecraft Java would get deleted and will not be accessible to the public anymore. Every Mod, Community Server or Save File would inherently be gone. Thats how you can imagine it, If Hytale would have dropped the Game with the premise of reworking the entire engine later on.

the truth is that hytale regretted dropping the announcement trailer. It got them investors yeah (RIOT) and that increased the scope and made the project bigger. BUT, they would rather be developing in silent. They are early. And have actively decided to hide the project from the community. It would take an underpaid intern to write blog posts with tiny tiny updates. Or at least a meme filled twitter that's active. So its a decision internally to be radio silent

The problem is with every new video about hytale that get´s online. Fans get more and more of the feeling, watching them is useless because there is nothing real new to talk about. I dont know about the other people but i for example, after waiting this many years, only want real news and not just a Screenshot every 6 months. I rather hear nothing until they announce the Beta and we can see a end to the waiting.

They should've had announced their game way way later. They did it way way too soon... they created a ton of hype which is good, problem is... the timing was wrong. Cause they created this hype so early it died out for many already by now. I even completely forgot about Hytale till this video randomly popped up on my youtube.

The hytale dev team is just a bunch of clones of yandare dev doing nothing but typing else if all day. In about 30 years there will be enough else if code to create a vague caricature of what could be considered an in dev game engine if you squint really hard.
