YES, YES! They've been hiding Embiids knee issue since the beginning of the preseason. They waited until the season opener to sell out with fans expecting to see Embiid & PG. Then try to convince the public that its load management in the FIRST game?! No, Embiids knee is screwed, its the only reason he would miss the season opener!

People seem to forget the only reason Embiid dropped to us in that draft was because he was injured and there were concerns about his long term health. So 10 years in to his career when he’s having problems being healthy…I mean, we all knew this was coming.

Wait, "we didn't see this coming?" What planet do these guys live on? Anyone who has followed this team, expected it. We expected it with Paul George. You have two guys with injury histories. No one gets less injured the older they get. The entire fanbase needs to come to terms with the truth. Their last shot was the Hawks. When they couldn't get past the Hawks, their history was written. They would forever be a team that couldn't get beyond the second round. The real turning point was drafting Markel Fultz. They had been set up with draft picks, and that number one pick that year was the opportunity to bring in a true star to go along with Embiid, and they blew it. You simply don't recover from that kind of missed opportunity in the NBA. Embiid was the healthiest he would ever be the year they played the Hawks. It's over, folks. Repeat that to yourself over and over again until the reality sets in, then move on with your life.

DEFINITELY. He won't start any games in the 1st week. They already have said that he won't play in any back-to-back games. Along the way in the season they will sit him for 'load management' reason. I say he'll get hurt again RIGHT BEFORE PLAYOFFS & miss them. Quick 1st round exit again.

You don't "re-evaluate" when you're "load managing." He clearly has a degenerative, irreversible condition that is rendering him unable to play. Giving him an occasional rest will have no effect. This could be the end of his career.

He's been load managed in other years, and he still gets hurt. Face it, he will always get hurt. He got hurt in college. He came into the league hurt. He will never ever ever be healthy for a long playoff run. So you're right about the overthinking part, but the overthinking are those who seem to think a guy who couldn't stay healthy in his twenties will miraculously all the sudden remain healthy in his thirties. It doesn't work like that, and it never will work like that. Pretending otherwise is living in a fantasy rather than reality.
