Howdy, Monkeyfamily! Although I did discuss the differences and the shared content of the two annuals, I didn't do a very good job of actually showing the duplicated pages. I was too busy trying to get the information correct. Hopefully I explained the situation clearly enough? It's been a difficult couple of weeks, so I've been struggling to focus on the channel content as much as I would prefer. Did you know about the 'lost' 1988 annual from Chad Valley? Hello Monkeyboy! I did not know about the 1988 annual, so thank you for making me aware of it! I myself would not question how much the Alien action figure would cost, because if I had $650 in US currency I would be purchasing the gigantic Transformers Headmaster, Fortress Maximus (it's a reproduced toy that looks exactly like the original 1988 one). Santa will of course fail to give me this for Christmas, so Santa's going to have some very special chocolate added to this year's glass of milk ☺️💩🥛 Also, I think Skeletor is going to love the surprise gift you've gotten him for Christmas! I wonder if he'll start referring to it as "mini-me"🤔. . . .

@alexjames7670 Yeah the first annual often seems to evade radar detection. I thought I had them all until this one popped up. It's certainly worth getting just for the comparison to the following annual. There was a Fort Max on the Toy Federation channel a couple of days ago. I never saw one as a kid, nobody had it. The biggest Transformer I have is Metroplex. Hopefully Skeletor will like his gift and maybe stop sabotaging my channel. Thank you for watching, sir dude brother man! 👍🐵

@CrazyCatLady-JoJo it's a completely different experience. Not even the same genre. First is basically a horror movie. Second is action, but a more appropriate term would be "panic".

I have had the Marvel Ghostbusters annual since childhood, and I thought that was the only one at the time. Interesting, Mr. Monkeyboy.

Like that Alien figure by reaction, a good example of a figure that I would have loved next to my Star Wars and Gijoe figures back in the eighties.. Keep rolling you one direction bending knee!

I think those pictures of Panthor are supposed to look flocked. I would guess those are "renders" and they can't render flock very well.

@GreyHulk2156 Yeah it's a bit misleading. The images make it look plastic. That would also be cool though, as it looks textured. The actual item doesn't have the same definition as suggested in those particular promo pics. The set also comes with a helmet for Panthor, the same as Battle Cat's, but dark green of course. Not sure why they included that, but it's nice to have the option and it does look cool, despite being inaccurate to the original toy. Also a pity that Skeletor comes with a battle axe instead of the Havoc Staff. Seems like an odd choice of accessory for him. Ah well, for 13 quid I'm happy. 👍🐵

interesting stuff, MB! Those annuals are a curiosity to me. In the states, I only know of "annuals" as a deluxe size comic book (page count, not size), I wonder if the annuals you guys get for pop culture properties is a predominantly European thing.

I don't really know much about the RGB annuals, you've got me interested in the Chad Valley & Kenner both being sub's of General Mills connection now.. but I don't know when they were sold/split up, I'll have to go & turn my Internet on... This was a very peaceful episode without Bonehead! Can't wait for him to see his Xmas present though! -I'm already having a crisis imagining Him ventriloquising his own toy Skeletor, maybe this is the Singularity we should actually be worrying about! That first Ghostbusters annual is quite an unusual item. It definitely seems like a Marvel product, but I'm not sure why it was released by a different company from Italy? It's written in English, so it appears to have been produced for the international market (or the European one at least) so I'm not sure why there are differences from the second book? Another toy related mystery has arrived on our doorstep in time for Christmas! Hope all's well, mate 👍 PS Have you seen the trailer for 28 Years Later? Looks really good! 🧟‍♂️

I've got that Super7/Funko Reaction Alien(1979) Xenomorph action figure! I believe the sides of the head glow in the dark when after the figure is held under a light. I don't believe we had those annuals here in the U.S.A. The 1979 Alien figures from Super 7 are actually based on an unproduced 3.75 inch action figure line by Kenner. Guessing Kenner cancelled the line after making the prototypes since the movie was rated R, but Kenner did get out that king-sized Alien Xenomorph figure and a movie viewer which contained the less intense bits of clips from the movie(I think you can find a rip of that film reel on youtube). Dollar Tree and Walmart usualy have those MOTU Mega Construx toys for sale here in the states.

@TimHayes Thanks for the comment, Tim! I didn't know about the alien figure had a glow-in-the dark head. Interesting. I will have to check mine out. There were a few versions of the figure I believe, so not sure which one I have. Yeah I think Kenner probably had a bit of a panic when they realised the type of movie they were dealing with!
