After the first couple episodes I saw with Bob when I realized he was on Lee’s team each time, I wondered if they decided to keep it that way because of the hilarity that ensues when he’s pitted against David. I really, REALLY hope that that’s true too because it definitely makes it funnier 😂 any other recurring guests typically alternate teams even if only one or two times… but nope, Bob is against David eeeeevery time, and it’s genuinely funnier and funnier each time. I love how after a while David starts explaining to any new team members how they need to be careful with Bob’s stories and he cautions them and everything, to the point that the new guests get equally ramped up with David 😂

One of my favorite things about how he tells his stories is that, particularly when he’s telling the truth, he always says/does these little things that make it seem like he’s having a hard time pulling off the lie. Whether it’s because of David having way too good a question and he’ll kind of stumble over the answer, or he’ll pick the card back up halfway into the questioning to “double check” what he’s supposed to be talking about, shit like that. When WILTY finally comes to an end one day, we need a compilation all all Bob clips chronologically. That way we can see David's descent into madness in its true order.

David's mini breakdown at the end of Bobs first was hilarious.

I have watched, and paid close attention to, all of these tidbits at least 10 times. Like a shaman around a fire, Bob draws me right in for a repeat.

About a month ago I clicked on one of these videos with Bob in it. I laughed at the original screenings, and despite seeing them all before I kept on viewing from video to video. l laughed again, a lot. The whole day just flew by and I got reprimanded for not mowing the lawn. Thanks Bob, it was worth it.

The best thing about bob stories is I have many of the same from my childhood. I think video games have deprived kids of so much random fun.

The first clip shows a new kind of Mortimer storytelling: throw us off with a lot of unbelievable but superfluous details and then offer up an ending just anti-climactic enough to be perfectly plausible. This should drive David ever more crazy. (Also, BTW, David was the only one who thought to make a pun out of "still" in Still Barry. Not even Lee thought of that.)

Snipers dream is one of my favourite expressions. I'm old enough to remember "Standard Fireworks" they were one of the big makes back in the day along with "Wells" and "Brocks" . I could listen to Bob for hours, a lot of these stories crop up in his book which is a brilliant read

I'm not sure how many times I have watched this but Bob (and David's trauma and delight) make me laugh every time. :)
