But still there are customers who just want a YAMAHA bikes. But as you know the reason for this high price is, it is coming to India as CBU(completely built unit) it is being imported from Indonesia due which levied high tax. There are other options in market which tend to be better buy. Infact the loyal Yamaha customers are annoyed..But you see the other side, these days anyone is easily able to buy R15 or mt 15, because people can easily spend 2.30 lakh either by cash or by emi scheme, so it is easy for even a chhapri to own R15 and do all those hooligans activities..But now very few people will buy R3 or MT 03..so the exclusivity will remain intact... I am also a Yamaha admirer, recently I owned a R15 v4..in future I will straight away upgrade to either a 1000cc bike or a middle weight bike like 700cc or 800cc and that too from YAMAHA...but if today I would have need to buy Bike I would surely bought a R3... Because you ride a Yamaha bike, everytime it will bring a great smile on your face due to its riding pleasure which no other manufacturers can give..It is unique in its own way...

So if they’re getting better power to price and better features to price and reasonably good riding dynamics within R15 or likes why would they even go for R3 or a ninja 300/400?? That too when they don’t offer any extra value add over the R15? They have to be retards or blinded fanboys of Yamaha or Kawasaki for that. @EG-BLIZZARD It's their flagship 155cc bike. Also they had to add features since we were requesting them. The prices and features were just right on the v3. If you want to blame someone blame ktm and their chapri fans, they put usd's on a 200cc bike for a country like India, where usd forks are not perfect. Some fans, haters and journalists saw that complained about R15 and mt15 not having usd's and quickshifter. Now that they do, prices sky rocketed and all of a sudden people have complaints. Why 155cc needs this and that. I feel our audience is very price sensitive who expect gold for the price of a news paper. It's a compromise they have to choose, either get a bigger engine with basic to no features like a bajaj/hero and price it right or give them features and hike the price like yamaha and ktm. BTW the rc 125 is costlier than the r15m and the r15m sits in between the rc200 and rc125, whilst offering more features than both and similar performance to an rc200. I agree still costly but at this price point which better sports bike with the best handling can you get? Ps: I don't consider rs and gixxer250 to be sport bikes, they are sport tourers.they lack the sporty feel and handling r15or the rc200.

@@agnivpal9208 They set limiters based on what they test during engineering phase on what's best for the engine life. That just means it's not engineered as well as an R15. There is not ifs and buts like "if there was no limiter or if there was". With that much compression you should be glad if it runs even 30k without engine being opened. One is good for drag and the other is good in mid to top end, they are beasts in their own right. I can go on about power to weight I.e R15 being just 142 kg kerb so the spec sheet isn't what is seen on road, it's a beast and i dont even want to bring up efficiency and how easy the engine feels on the highway because of the taller gearing. I'm just saying if not you there are many people who requested it for an R15 and that's why the company launched it with those features, although I agree traction control is overkill. Also the reason I compared it with RC200 is because of the price and features, R15 offers more value in that sense. Performance, mileage, reliability, looks, good top speed and highway performance(can maintain really good steady cruise speeds than any 200cc bike. You'll only know if you owned one).

In Sports bike , you want features and good other stuff , buy Aprilia rs457 If you're a true enthusiast- you will definitely love that parallel twin on Yamaha for damn sure.
