I know your in the south but I still learn lots from you both and ordered your cucumber seeds and doing wonderful indoors right now. Duluth rocks! Great goal to stay out of the grocery store. You have a lot of good options to stay out of the grocery store. You have lots and lots of great food from the garden. I strip the stems from my collards like Mama Hoss and then I cut those stems into 3-4”pieces and pickle or ferment them. Delicious! Also, I spy the grinch in Mama Hoss’ stocking!

Much like you and Duluth store is like 250 miles from us. We order online and they definitely have the best compression socks. Then we will be ordering a pair or two of those Get Dirty socks as well. A beautiful and abundant display of greens you had. First year and doing a fall garden and next year we are definitely going to expand it much more. Still harvesting some collards and greens as well as thinning out some YUMMY young carrots. Unbelievable and the Grinch hiding out in Mama Hosses stocking. Is there no respect anymore!

I debone/derib my collards. And, I don't use scissors to do it - a waste of time. I do that for romaine as well. Turnip greens, without those tiny hairs, is my favorite. But, woo, some collards greens with sweet potato wrapped inside! ❤ That one kale - the 'dinosaur kale' - I can't stand. Red Russian all the way. I also only like red, all red, beets. I'd like to see more Momma Hoss videos, please. How, when, and what she plants in her garden. Thank you! Do you fertilize with the pig manure?

I have some of those all top turnips and some broad leaf mustards, collards, and stuff from ya’ll in my garden and am very happy so far! When do ya’ll plant your beets up that way? Mine were struggling a bit but it was a new plot and they needed a shot of borax. They are turning on now and will get a second dose of borax on Monday.

Your "groceries" look wonderful. My cilantro is ready for harvesting. Will be dehydrating them. Probably could harvest some of my Swiss Chard, but waiting for lettuce to get a little bigger. My celery is not quite as far along as yours. I will check my strawberry plants for blooms and remove them, if they have any. Thanks for the advice. Plan to side dress my onions this weekend.

My fingers are itching but here in the lower Hudson valley of NY it is much to early to even start seeds although I will be doing that soon for some of the veggies that take awhile to germinate and/or grow. I am now in my planning phase, checking my seeds and of course looking at catalogues and on line to order more seeds for new variaties, old variaties, whatever catches my eye and so on. Seed addiction is a real thing but it 's just to much fun to stop.

You’ve talked to me before I’m handicapped, and I would like to get like a garden that I could stand up and do or sit up high to do and I like to grow some slicing tomatoes. I’ve seen these wooden boxes aren’t on with legs on wheels can I grow tomatoes out of that? I’m hoping for too much I understand you would have to have them tied up on some thing in the back of it. As an organic gardener, I stopped recommending BT for worms. There are studies that connect it to leaky gut in humans. It stays in the produce and causes a similar problem in some people that it does in worms.
