Btw, went and dug around in the game files to double-check. Iodine tablets and the acid syringes are completely identical. Both remove 10 rads and give a 15 minute buff reducing radiation intake by 50%. For reference, you get the yellow radiation warning debuff at 6 rads, and you start getting the orange radiation debuff (which makes you vomit, reducing your rads back into the yellow range) at 35 rads.

Night essence has a percent chance to drop on the first instance of x-ray exposure/fire damage/laser blast you also need to kill the crawlers during flathill fog events for special keys; you should figure out where they go after you get one

It's a _guaranteed_ drop, it just has a cooldown, and that cooldown is longer than his respawn interval (he can respawn nearly instantly, but can only drop essence every few minutes or so). If it's off cooldown, he's guaranteed to drop it when x-rayed.

I wish I could have watched this one live. Mostly I'd be repeatedly say put on radiation suit. rad levels rise, they port home and TFE grabs a suit right away. Yet Splitsie does not Grrrrrr!

@@Flipsie Ya, but the radiation suits barely cost anything. +20% thirst rate, and in exchange you can basically entirely ignore radiation as a mechanic for the most part, as well as ignoring stuff like the spore infection and such. I often end up wearing mine most of the entire game. Edit: you literally teleported back to base and vomited up like 2/3rds of your hunger bar because you kept going into severe radiation poisoning and still didn't bother to put on a rad suit. /baffled.

I am confused so death takes people from the security sector among others but mostly the security sector and abducts them to become shades in the dark realm which is probably its home

shooting shades with the laser or x-ray does nothing so far. I take the lights in the train. they make a good light source for my base and satalite bases particularly since their so many. i could make them, but why bother using the resources when free lights. the train is also the best source of scrap metal and wood farming i've found so far which i need for the scrap shot ammo.

I had flu on Monday, got better, and then last night (Thursday) / this morning (Friday) got hit with it again.. My co-workers are also sick, even though we work remotely..

All that times you tried to cook the fish filets into soups and I was sitting here screaming at the screen: "use the whole fish!" now we are allowed to give you recipes and devs changed the recipe to use a filet instead of the whole fish. btw. if you want that recipe it's portal fish(now filet), potato and an tomato (could be super, i'm not at my home pc right now, so can't look it up and that recipe is in none of the guides on steam )

Sadly, Portal Fish Stew is pretty mediocre. No unique buff, and middling hunger restore. It's rather annoying that one of the best soups from a hunger perspective, Meaty Stew, is just made with meat from pests, peccary, and exors. And actually, the best one (well, second best now that the incredibly potent Pumpkin Ravioli is a thing) for hunger _and_ one of the better buffs, A&L Mega-Stew, is also Peccary and Exors, plus the quill Exor arms. The more complex side of cooking frankly just isn't really worth it, soups are better, and many of the best soups are both very cheap and lack all those extra steps.
