I love waking up to another video every morning. I have learned so much from watching. My husband can't beleive how much stuff i had kept from my grandmother was worth. He is now just as addicted as i am. He wants to save for our retirement. I just want to be surrounded by pretty glass. Lol. Have an awesome holiday everyone.

At 3:17, the blue vase is just like mine. It was made by OMC, which is Osaka Mercantile Company. I also have a matching one in a different shape. They made at least 3 shapes. I was told they are mid-century. I have had the one in your video for at least 25 years, and love them both!

Oh my word, the $100 Haeger vase was absolutely GORGEOUS! I’m not sure I could have justified that price either (not within my budget ☹️) but I just loved it. I have a smaller vase of a similar shape from the 1930’s made by SylvaC. Nowhere near as valuable, of course, but I love it anyway.

03:09 Boy howdy, I would love to get a good look at those jewelry display flats. 05:03 That's certainly a ... _different_ ... way of constructing a shareable cigarette lighter. If I've done my research correctly, "Erin's" is a trademark of Oneida - and just to the right of it is its matching ashtray. 05:53 I don't buh-LIEVE in it ... that's 1970s at very best, and probably younger. 06:39 I'm intrigued by the foot. You don't commonly see that with swung glass. 07:15 For some reason it reminds me of an octopus. 08:19 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA YES!! We shall yet conquer! 10:53 With all the partitions to it, it feels a bit like a relish dish. 12:33 It's all the pumpkin spice candles they lit to lure you in. 😆 😆

Great finds! Have you ever found a Royal Sometuke Nippon piece (white/blue pagodas)? What I’m finding in my research is that it dates back to 1906ish and was actually made by Noritake for Nippon. It’s a gorgeous teapot with lid. Would love to hear your thoughts! 🙏⛩ 💭

Question? Glass that glow are they worth more money then the regular glass??
@michellemack66404 жыл бұрын
Uranium glass (glows) is popular right now but so is mid-century modern glass and Murano. The value of glass is almost always based on how rare a piece is, condition, whether it's marked or signed by a known maker, and the design. Some uranium glass can bring good money but not all of it.

Of the cermanics, Shawnee, Hull and McCoy, which are most desirable? Thanks!
@susanma48994 жыл бұрын
My guess is that there are certain (rare, sought-after) items that can fetch big bucks. So there's McCoy that you can get for less than $20, but there's also McCoy that goes for hundreds of $$. It isn't the brand per se, it's the item.

Good call on leaving the Mara decanter marked $42. Sold comps for similar decanters are $30-40. That said, I'm still trying to figure out how one knows if a Mara product is a limited edition. New, the limited edition products sell for a lot more--and I'd love to figure out how to know if an older piece was limited edition. I have yet to find a website that will tell me whether they were numbered or marked in some way.

I still miss so many of my favorite shops that closed years ago here in NH. Antique shops work with such a thin margin for profit that bad economic times like these can spell disaster. It's always sad to see one go.

I came home with a modernist teapot again. The world doesn't need more teapots. What will they think when they dig us up over 10000 years? They surely loved tea. I do have the best teapots. Most of them space age. If future archaeologists dig up my house first then they will be confused. Why are these pots so aerodynamic? Luckily the marked for space age and modernist teapots is pretty narrow. One can't horde old futuristic teapots. I still have ambitions. There are still some fine teapots out there. I've got only a few or one minimalist pot per post war decade. Teapot evolution. Pushing the limits. You'll be: now that's a teapot! Lots of them.
