Fully agree. I am a 56 yo redhead, and I’m careful about what’s next to my face and hair (so my favorite trousers for years were red/yellw/orange stripes from a Nepali/Tibetan import store…I MISS those), but within the tones that are “good” against the face, I’m exploring hues and tones.

Jamie- I think you do the best color trend videos on KZbin. Love them and especially the way you start with the fact that there are multiple palettes, and explain the difference. And then you show as well as tell. Your trend videos are always really good, but the color trend videos are fabulous

Thank you. I’m going to focus on clothes I already own in dark blue, lilac and duck egg (similar to limpet shell) and see if I can find some long term wish list items in those colours. Warm and even neutral temperature colours don’t suit me so I shall admire them on others.

Ooh... I'm so excited for some of these colors, especially the limpet shell, as aqua is my favorite color and one that I look good in! 😊 I wonder about pink, though... I saw somewhere that it will be a softer baby pink, moving away from the deeper pinks. Great video, Jamie! ❤

I love color trend videos. I think greens with brown or even rum raisin would look amazing for spring. Lilac/lavender are hard to style for me. Would love a video on that.

Love the colors! They don’t always have to be blindingly bright to be for spring, but can be used as a grounding color along with certain brighter colors. Still love that blue striped shift dress from Walmart!

Love the video, thank you. I'm loving the mocha mousse and rum raisin. I actually have a couple tank tops from a couple years back in the mocha color! I bought a light quilted coat last year in the rum raisin color and now it's a big color for this year. You just never know in fashion what color will be big hit!

I always find the color trends so inspiring - but then I go and wear what I already have in my wardrobe, and add more of the colors that I know suit me and which I love. I feel like over the last years with so many trends going on so fast one after another it‘s ‚anything goes‘ anyway. I will definitely watch out for the dark green and light turquoise shade for some summer additions.

Olive and sage are my workhorse greens along with forest greens. I wear them year round and have all my life. Some editorial board isn’t changing my mind. Olive and the marigold and orange go well together. (The warm colors also pair with royal to sapphire to navy blues, and deeper purples)

I've always wondered what the Color Institute does and how our colors are suggested, and you did a great job explaining all of it! Though they seem to be leaning a bit heavy in the brown family, I think these are all really wearable, my absolute favorite being crocus. Now I have an even better excuse! 😊

Oh my, I love all the colors here. Can I wear them all? Probably not, but I could wear most of them which is a major change. I like Lime cream, Kashmir, Cocoon, Bran, Blue granite and antique white. These colors will mostly catch my eye for clothing that I would wear. Have you seen the Time and Tru high waist, wide leg cropped jeans in the color Winter white?? The stitching is a brown thread and it is gorgeous!! I bought a pair today, and I can't wait to style them! TY Jamie! I am so excited to wear these colors and styles this spring and summer.

Most of these colors look way more fall than spring. I'm not into pastels or neons, but these seem a little dreary for a spring lineup. The robin egg sort of shade and the sage-y green are the only ones I'd wear that actually look like spring to me. I like the earth tones, always love pinky browns, but they give me the fall feels. 🍁 🍂

I like last year's & this year's colors. There's a little something for everyone. I'm really enjoying the availability of brown in all different tones & depths of color. I already have tons of green, olive & sage especially since it was an easy neutral to find. I have a lot of orange - peach, coral, rust, ginger spice brown so probably don't need more. I would like to add more blue that isn't navy or grey, like the soft turquoise & teals I have seen. The Pantone colors are very soft but there will be variations & interpretations of these colors available plus all the standard spring/summer shades. No one will be left out.

Limpet shell and Kashmir are the ones I’ll be buying this spring, I have plenty of Mochas already from autumn 24. Deja vu blue, Eclipse and Rum Raisin, are ok, too, but those, other, warm colors are not for me. I have cool, light, soft coloring. I think pale Powder Pink will be big, too, because it was in many designer shows, but Pantone didn’t pick it up.

I liked deja vu, dark kasmir not the light shade of it, mocha and blue granite. Seeing some of those florals reminded me of my high school days in the 70’s when we were required to take a sewing class and the fabrics offered were a whole bunch of florals. Lol!

Always wear colors on clothing and accessories (shirts, jackets, scarves) in your “picture zone” that flatter your skin tone. You can throw all caution to the wind with pants, shoes, handbags. On trend just means what will be abundant in stores. Being in style means you have composed an outfit that flatters you.

Those with skin in the cool color pallet (winter) have been neglected for years! I'm so tired of orange, camel, brown, yellow, and all the warm toned pastels. Yes, they're pretty colors but look horrible on cool toned women. I did hear that baby pink would be a popular color this spring and summer but it isn't mentioned here at all.
