Wow, the pulp matches up seamlessly. You really did do a great job. Kind of a silly question. When you use plexiglass, is it straight on the comic? Do you still use the paper towel drying approach?

Thank you! Before placing into the press, the wrap is sandwiched between Reemay sheets, then paper towels, plexiglass, and finally wood boards. When the wrap is almost dry, I remove the layers and place the wrap in the press between plexiglass sheets to smooth out the leaf casting. It works well, though if the leaf casting isn’t set yet and there’s too much water, the plexiglass will stick and damage the work so it’s something I learned to assess over the years.

Looks great professor. It's probably hard to tell with the color difference, but does light seem to pass through the patch with the same luminosity as the original page material?

Hi Jason, I checked over a light box just now and I would say it’s equivalent to the original material - a good blending, yes.
