Where has your channel been all my life?! I know you said you type your power point notes up and it sounds pretty straightforward but I was wondering if maybe you could do a video showing how you do it and some tips you may have. Love the videos!

finally got around into making this video! my next video will be on how i take notes! (saturday, august 13 12pm EST)

I've seen other ppl type up the slides, I've always thought it seemed like alot of extra work, but am thinking it may be a good idea, esp after taking notes in class, then adding them in neatly. Thx for the video!
@TheStrivetoFit8 жыл бұрын
+Lee H it definitely works better for some classes than others! It is a lot of work depending on how good the professors are at making powerpoint slides but my friends and I split up the work 3 way so it's manageable :)

Can you do a video on what to do with old college books or notes? Something to help us figure out what to keep and what to toss ?
@TheStrivetoFit8 жыл бұрын
I say sell whatever you can while you can still get a good price! if you're planning on going to med school, there are plenty of great textbooks to get so it's probably best to make room and make some extra cash if you can!

I really enjoy your videos. Typing up notes from the PowerPoint or especially writing them by hand really helps learning. I learn better when I write and rewrite what was presented verbally or in written form. Also, I wondered if using an 11 inch MacBook Air gave you eyestrain.

Hi jamie! Do you also use your macbook air for editing your youtube videos? Im torn between buying macbook air or macbook pro 2016 for med school. I would primarily use the laptop for study stuff but also for watching tv series, youtube videos and video editing. What would you recommend? :) thanks!

+lovia lee Hi! welcome to the channel :) my pencil case is from Korea (the tag says 7321 Design). I think that if you have built up some good study habits from college, then getting through med school shouldn't be too bad. Med school does become a huge part of your life but there's still time to do other things you love. Many of my classmates keep up with their hobbies and often travel on weekends to see friends & family. I have a Q&A video going live tonight that talks about sleep schedule, etc if you're interested! Good luck with all the pre-med stuff. it's totally worth it :)

Hey I'm currently at UCD as a premed student. I do work and go to school. My biggest worry is once into med school will working affect my success into finishing medical school. Just wondering how your are able to afford to live on your own and attend medical school. Your videos are very helpful 감사합니다 언니 💕
@TheStrivetoFit8 жыл бұрын
+flordia0000 hi 동생 ;-) most people at my school take out loans to cover tuition & living costs + whatever contribution your family can kindly make. Some even work during the school year (work study programs). a lot of jobs require you to just sit at a desk (library, computer desk, etc) so people still get their school work done while working. hope this helps!

If a person does Mbbs(MD is equivalent to mbbs) from other country. How can that person do further specialization from US?
@Popskittle8 жыл бұрын
I do mbbs outside of the US and the route we have to take is to sit the USMLEs. When we have completed those exams we apply to US hospitals to do our residency.
@divyamehra53048 жыл бұрын
+Popskittle thank you for replying. If I am not mistaken, an mbbs student has to give USMLE part one in his/her first year and the USMLE in his/her 2nd I order to do residency from US?
@Popskittle8 жыл бұрын
Well at my school they advise you to do step one of USMLE in our 1st/ 2nd year of clinicals and then the rest when we are done, but I know of people who waited until they graduated to do all the exams. Whichever way is easier for you to balance with your mbbs curriculum. Im not sure I understood your question, but hopefully that answered it :)
@divyamehra53048 жыл бұрын
+Popskittle My question was rather vague, but yes your answer helped me :) what I was trying to ask was that USMLE part one is supposed to be given in the first year of mbbs. In addition to that, USMLE part 2 has to be given in the 2nd year of the mbbs course. Am I correct?
@Popskittle8 жыл бұрын
Oh ok .. Well you can do it during your mbbs course or you can wait until you've completed mbbs and then do all the exams after. They don't have specifications as to when you have to do it.

LMFAO, if you bag is too heavy why don't you carry 2 bags? u could get scoliosis from carrying too heavy of a bag
@greenelephant12318 жыл бұрын
A bunch of kids I know from high school and college have gotten scoliosis due to poor posture and/or carrying heavy bags. Yes, the exact cause is not known but you can make an assumption that the kid who carries a big a* backpack and slouches is certainly more at risk than the kid who carries little in his backpack and has very good posture. And due to the stress of med school, med students and even licensed physicians do things that are bad for them. Take my friend for an example. He's doing his residency and when he was in med school he crashed into a tree cuz he couldn't stop texting. But point is, just because one is very knowledgeable about medical practices does not mean they themselves take care of 'em selves safely.

+Marie-Philippe Girl Knows Tech PREACH, I have scoliosis too and I get so annoyed when people who don't have it, act like they know everything about it😒
