I bought the Amazon dupe and I love it! But I live in NYC and it’s great for commuting because it holds a lot and looks professional and easy to carry over my shoulders. I know if I bought a bigger version I’d load it more and that would destroy my poor shoulder Lol because I’d find reasons to add more stuff Lol but I think the trick is definitely mini versions of everything. I also have a ThinkPad laptop from work and work phone (iphone6) and my work badge to get into my work area. But the hard part is adding my other personal things that makes the bag heavier 😂 but I still like it.

Aw I’m glad you love it! That’s a good point, getting a bigger bag could also mean just stuffing it even more which could make it even heavier haha!

Thanks for this awesome review. You answered my main question, which was - does the bag feel heavy to carry. In my experience, the size of the carry straps matters in addition to the bag size. Those straps are too thin for such a large bag. It's fine for people who drive to work because they don't carry the bag that long. However, strap ergonomics are much more important if you are a transit commuter. There are a few brands designed by people based in the 5 boroughs of NYC that try to address that issue.

@@MoTheCrown I think MZ Wallace and Dagne Dover both have bags that work well for transit commuting. MZ Wallace's Utility Backpack can be carried as a backpack, tote or crossbody. They have 2 sizes now. But the brand is pricey, $200 to $400. I have their personal item bag for travel and love it. If you think their bags have too many pockets, Dagne Dover is another brand with bags more appropriate for transit commuting. They are also pricer though. Hope this helps.

Yes it does! On the side you can put your water bottle but it’s not a huge space! If you check out my first review on the bag, you can see the size of the previous water bottle I used to carry :)
