Loved the video! I think I'm addicted to watching what's in my bag videos, haha. It's a dangerous game because it makes me want to buy stuff I don't have money for, hahaha. I'm trying to find internships this summer for photography and your videos help me set goals and what lenses I want to get next! I shoot tamron lenses for their price so I have the tamron 17-28, 28-75, and I will probably end up getting their 75-180, I want the sony 70-200 for the extra zoom on the wide end, but it's very expensive, haha. I also want to get into prime leases since I never really use them, but I may buy the 55 1.8 and challenge myself and try out prime lenses, the extra 1 stop for the aperture is really appealing, haha
@DavidManningvlog4 жыл бұрын
Do I remember that your moms got you the A7III? That camera paired with the 55mm 1.8 would be an amazing addition to your bag! You'll be blown away at what you get! You're right though that primes are absolutely a new challenge. Moving your feet to get the shot is so much different than just zooming a bit!

Totally not jealous right now.... 😂 This was an amazing well done video. Let us know how the MacBook Pro 16" works out for you! Also I own a Mavic 2 Pro and don't have any issues with it thus far. Yeah, no 4K60, but 2.7K60 is enough for what I do. Not really sure what more they could improve in the Mavic 3, other than adding 4K60 and maybe improving the obstacle avoidance. I think 8K would be a little overkill. I mean, if you're rocking NVIDIA's new Quadro RTX 5000 laptop, then yes, you could edit the 8K video, but I think the difference between 4K and 8K is hardly noticeable. Again, great video as always, thanks for posting
@DavidManningvlog4 жыл бұрын
That's awesome to hear that you haven't had any issues with the Mavic Pro 2! The footage coming out of it is incredible! But for sure excited to see how they'll step things up. I'm with you though, no need for 8K. The world barely watches 4K footage over 1080. Have you ever seen 1080 exported as 4K? It's amazing looking! Maybe we don't even need 4K filming?
@hankfink54124 жыл бұрын
Yeah, 1080p exported as 4K is of quite amazing quality! I think even for us who have old and slow computers can still output some 4K video by filming and editing in 1080p and just exporting as 4K. It saves a lot of time while editing if you can actually play back the files you recorded 😂. I've heard that KZbin allows a higher bitrate for 4K rather than 1080p so I'm wondering if you shoot/export 4K just for KZbin videos, then KZbin might not compress them as much ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I think 4K can come in handy though in some areas. Especially in the Mavic 2 Pro, it has a mode where it crops in to about 2x the focal length to get extra reach, and with it in 4K it doesn't lose quality. I actually once took my Mavic 2 into our dairy barn (handheld, of course) and I made a video about milking cows and stuff, and the close-ups with the cows with the 4K quality of the Mavic is incredible!
@DavidManningvlog4 жыл бұрын
Totally! Uploading in a higher bit rate to KZbin means that KZbin’s compression won’t make it total garbage. Even in 1080 I set the bit rate much higher than normal to get a larger file to fight the KZbin compression👍

This is just crazy. Why doesn’t my 15-45mm lens I’m using in my studio not look as wide as your 16-35mm? What lens do I really need to make my M50 have the same wide look as your A7a 2?
@DavidManningvlog4 жыл бұрын
Your M50 has a crop factor because of the smaller sensor. On the M50, the crop factor is 1.6x. So any lens focal length that you have is multiplied by 1.6 when put on the M50. So your 15-45mm actually acts like a 24-72mm on your camera. You'll need a 10mm lens on your camera to look like a 16mm does on a full frame camera. So if you want that super wide look, pickup a 10mm👍
