for landscape 20-70 f4 is most likely a better option.

Awesome video! I also just got back from a trip to Newfoundland. Look forward to seeing your experience and the wildlife you captured!

Thanks so much! That’s awesome that you were in Newfoundland too, it’s such a beautiful place. I can’t wait to share my footage and photos, stay tuned!

Nice video! Very fun to hear the excitement in your voice when you talk about your trip, you can tell that you liked it just by hearing you talk about it. :) I usually bring my tripod when I go out, but I end up not using it at all and just carry my camera with the peak design strap. But I don't usually film anything. I'm trying to get more footage with my Sony A7IV, but I still have to practice it more. And it's a hassle to get the exports right, so I just end up procrastinating whenever I film anything to edit the footage.

Thank you! The trip was a blast, and I’ve been so busy since getting home. I’m just itching to finish the video, but I’ll have to be patient. I used to be the same way with my tripod-bringing it but barely using it for photos. However, with these KZbin videos, I’ve found a whole new passion for filming wildlife. So, a reliable and sturdy tripod seems to be becoming a necessity.

Liked and Subscribed. I am looking to purchase this exact setup. I can find the A74 used in my country for $1600 USD equivalent, but used 200-600 lens are very rare near me.

Thanks for liking and subscribing! The A7IV and 200-600 lens make an awesome combo-I'm sure you'll love it. Good luck with finding the lens!

Hey Curtis, awesome video as always! What are the filters you use for the DJI?
@CurtisSnapshot5 ай бұрын
Thank you! I thought the filter kit might have been discontinued along with the mini 2, but I believe these should be the exact ones I have: amzn.to/4fpOyJ3 (This is a Amazon affiliate link, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you).

Just found your channel and realized we have pretty much the same kit. I shoot with an A7IV using the sigma 24-70 art series and the Sony 200-600 G. We even have the the same color peak design strap 😂. Wild world

how did you get the dreamy effect for the heron and owl pics?
@CurtisSnapshot2 ай бұрын
Hey, sorry for the late reply! There are a few different aspects that give those photos a "dreamy" look. First, the lighting - both were taken during or after sunset, which gave the scenes a softer light. The big trick I use, though, is masking tools. I mask out the background and reduce the clarity, plus I lower the dehaze tool to add a bit of haze. A lot of masking and subtle tweaks with these sliders go a long way… but less is always more! It’s easy to overdo it.

Reply if you can What you do with wild life photos how to did you earn from them

That’s a great question! Making money with wildlife photography can be tricky, and there are various approaches like selling prints, creating seasonal items such as calendars, or offering photography workshops. Personally, I earn a bit from KZbin and affiliate marketing, but it's really more of a hobby for me. I just love what I do, and any chance to make a little extra is a nice bonus. It’s all about finding what works best for you!
