How do you deal with someone walking away with your gear?

Keep it close and pray it doesn’t happen lol.. Nah but I have an AirTag in the case and just coordinate with the coordinator and/or the couple to put your stuff in secure places or keep it close by at all times.

135 is one of my fav lenses man! Absolutely love that thing, especially for portraits. Don’t use it as much for video but it’s a photo dream! Super sharp and the compression you get is really nice !

Honestly it was nothing technical about the decision. Bestbuy guy sold me a Sony because I told him I wanted to shoot videos. This was back when I knew nothing about cameras.. but knowing what I know now, I would still go with Sony. Better video system, smaller and more lightweight camera and lenses, bigger selection of lenses, cheaper, better in low light etc.
