I just found you by accident and I really like your videos. I'm 73 and I'm a Astro Van nomad, and this is my first smart phone. My niece is going to show me how to use it when I get to Illinois in July. I'm seeing so many good folks who are nomads on my phone and she is going to teach me how to connect with folks on my phone. Thans for your videos as I know it's hard work to produce them.

I LOVED Organ Pipe. We stayed in the campground, I think it was $7. Very nice, but crowded. They have a dump station, fresh water, really nice restrooms & solar showers. As newbies, we learned very quickly, don't take your shower after sunset. The water & desert are quite cold at night, in February 😜

You seem very comfortable, but aren't you afraid to be out there all by yourself not knowing just what you may encounter.....and at night, how can you sleep out in the boonies alone? I want to do this, but I'm not sure I could be isolated without fear. Any advice or informational comforting words.....You also mention the guys cutting the wood. Are you actually traveling with others? I was hoping to find groups traveling together and boondocking, getting to know others and if not traveling always together, regular meeting places at times. Does that happen other than the get togethers for RVers who have the same bran?

Loved the night time lapse! Question: Do you compost both urine and solids? How often do you have to empty your toilet? And where can you do it?
@karinhart4896 жыл бұрын
Mike Rafferty See her original video, she separates the solids from liquid.
@BexCatherder6 жыл бұрын
If I use my toilet regularly, then I need to empty it about every 3 weeks. If I'm in a national forest or BLM land that allows it, I sometimes dig a few catholes and bury it. But if that is not an option, I just put it in a garbage bag and throw it away.
@12053mike6 жыл бұрын
Bex Cat-herder Glad it's working out for you. Using a cover material seems to make more sense to me than flush toilets. Water is pretty precious when boondocking.
