Omg finally someone who sees how weird and demeaning it is for women to pack for their partner. They’re grown and more than capable to do so in their own! And mama already has enough to think about

I was going to comment this too, so glad I’m not the only one who thinks this 😂

So exciting! The bag you were gifted is made out of a recycled billboard sign. You might want to add some snacks closer to. Pushing is hard work and hospital food is notoriously bad. I’m a medical student and from my time on labor and delivery i saw a lot of hungry moms in the middle of the night lol

Yesss! All I ate were my snacks while in the hospital. My husband didnt pick any snacks for himself and ended up eating mine too. The food at the hospital was never enough

Listening you speak so softly and lovingly about having your daughter and wanting to meet her is making me tear up. Sending love to you and your family❤️ I have never wanted to be a mom myself but your videos are definitely evoking some confusing emotions😂

one thing i recommend bringing is a towel!!! my hospital had the SMALLEST towels it was horrible. i felt so gross after birth and it just sucked having to use basically a hand towel to get out of the shower with 😭 also i would bring another set of pjs because it gets a little messy down there 😳 and i bled 😳 on mine one more thing that’s “extra” but i loved was wishgarden herbs after ease drops. if you plan on breastfeeding or in general you cramp pretty bad after having a baby so you just drop some in your water & it helps so much. i’m so excited for you & you’ll do great 💖💖

I wore the same robe when I gave birth 7 months ago! It was so comfy and practical. I actually didn’t even shower in the hospital because I wasn’t in the hospital super long and wanted to wait til I was home. I think everything you packed looks good! I used like 1/4 of the things in my suitcase but it doesn’t hurt to bring anything you think you could want. Much rather over pack than under pack. I loved wearing the diapers and wore them for a good while! The ice packs were so great for me because I had an episiotomy. My nurses were really generous with supplies and even gave me a whole bag of everything to take home and continue to use. I used the peri bottle for a looonng time after because it always felt so good knowing my stitches were extra clean! So excited for you to give birth soon😍😍😍 it’s the best feeling in the world!

I had my baby last year in Nov! As I celebrate his first birthday I wish you the best delivery and postpartum! If there’s anything the past year has taught me it’s to not feel shame or guilt to ask for help of any kind from your spouse/bf and be kind to yourself as you transition into this incredibly difficult yet gratifying role! I’m sure you’ll be a great mom! ❤

as someone who is also in a relationship with a grown man, the packing thing is sooo relatable lol i like picking out his outfits sometimes, but im not packing his damn suitcase for every vacation 🙄

hi laini, i just wanted to boost this video cause it's important for parents out there to have inspiration like you, you seem like you'd be such a gentle parent and you already love your kid even though they're not born yet! i can't watch this video because it's a bit of a trigger for me rn but i wanted to support anyway!

Labor & Delivery nurse here! Bring your own pillows, hospital pillows are like 1 ply toilet paper - thin and useless. The nursing pillows (like the Boppy) are great for getting used to breastfeeding. A little fan that clips to the hospital bed has been a lifesaver for some of my patients. Hospital TV channels suck so you could bring an Amazon Fire Stick if you have one. Our doctors order prenatal vitamins for the postpartum period already, so you shouldn't need to bring your own. So excited for you and your sweet little family!

I highly recommend not using pacifiers or bottle feeding until she is latching and breastfeeding! Sometimes hospitals will just do this without consent and I hear from all my mom friends that it makes it more difficult to latch. Good luck 💕

The only thing that I’d recommend is packing a gown just in case you have to deliver by cesarean….you won’t want anything touching/rubbing the incision for a while…and then maybe do some research on the subject if you haven’t yet! Bc even tho you’re planning for it to be a vaginal birth you just never know what could happen and it never hurts to be prepared! I hope this wasn’t too unwarranted, I just so badly wish that someone had told me to be prepared for anything lol

I’m so excited for you!!!!!!! I’ve heard combs are really good to hold and squeeze in your hands during contractions to make the pain better since your hands are higher on your body if you create discomfort there your brain will sense it before the contraction pains

I recommend bringing one size up for her outfit, my baby was 8lbs!! (He surprised everyone) so he didn’t fit in new born and we had to stretch out his clothes by hand before putting them on😂

My dr said no pacis till after 2 weeks so they get a good latch, nipple cream is a life saver, I would save the frida stuff when you get home, the hospital will give you all that, love the things you chose. I took a water bottle. My hospital gave me water but they would take hours to refill it even though I requested water frequently. I was dying of thirst. Def bring shampoo and all that, you will love that first shower after. I was covered in baby poop and blood all over my body
@saraisanchez12882 жыл бұрын
Also diapers yes! Wore those for a solid month. They will be pushinh on your belly every few hours so there will be lots of blood. Dress jammies are the best bc you dont want to change too much each time you use the restroom depending if you tear. So excited for you! Its crazy but also so amazing

I’m so excited for you and hoping everything goes great! Giving birth is the most transformative and rewarding thing ever ❤️ I’d definitely bring a blanket for you and baby girl to snuggle up under! Especially for the skin to skin time. The hospital blankets really are as bad as everyone says

I just had a baby and I wish I had packed my own breast pump and my donut pillow. The wheelchair ride from the delivery room to the recovery room was so very painful.

Diapers were much better and not a hassle! After birth you’re gonna be a little sore and if you tear than obviously so the less struggle to use the restroom the better. I had to stand and fuss with the pads that they gave me at the hospital. Very painful. So the diapers were a magical plus! Best of luck new mama 🤍✨🤍
@spectacularrx522 жыл бұрын
I would maybe bring two nursing bras in case you leak, and some nipple pads! Flip flops for the shower is the only other thing you might want. I brought our nursing pillow but only because we had two, so one could be clean at home while we washed the yucky hospital one lol

I definitely would bring your own pillows. Not really blankets. Hospital pillows are soo bad. Like flat mats or something lol. Plus it helps if you are trying to breastfeed.
