In my wallet I have these cards: Chase Freedom Flex (for PayPal, McDonalds, and Charities), American Express Gold (basically any dining purchase not at McDonalds), American Express Blue Cash Preferred (for groceries, steaming, and gas stations), Capital One Savor One (for Uber and Uber Eats), and then my Charles Schwab debit card.

Just completed my bonus for my Hilton Honors Amex card so I'll be using mt Capital One Savor One card for groceries and restaurants, my Discover card for Target, my Pen Fed Platinum for gas and my Capital One Quick Siver for the Suit cleaning and my Citizens Cash card for car repairs and maintenance.

Hey great video! Right now I have the Chase Trifecta - Sapphire preferred for restaurant, grocery and streaming because of the Marriott 50% bonus, Chase freedom flex and the Chase Freedom Unlimited. However i do alternate my Amex gold bc they have a 30% Hilton bonus, for food categories. So far some really great redemptions this quarter. Planning a trip next December 2025 to visit fhe Christmas markets in Swwden! Trying to get enough points.

I can't wrap my head around paying an annual fee for a card with all the no annual fee cards out there that offer between 2% - 5% Makes no sense to me to pay an annual fee just for few more crumbs. It's got to be a status thing with people I guess. Most of the benefits of an annual fee card are for extravagant things people really don't need. Just foolish spending. I'm into saving money.

As someone who has several AF cards I can say that I agree with you. In fact, I used to have the same attitude as you regarding this but decided to try these out. It's nice to have the perks of these cards but the sting of the AF is getting to me and the hoop jumping is getting annoying. I'm getting rid of most of them.

I watched how you will use 3-4 cards in Greece. I think it is a bit crazy because you should just bring 1 card, maybe the VX only. Sure you will be missing out on maximizing points, but there is a lot of pickpocketing in Greece. Best to only bring 1 card and put the rest on Apple Wallet or equivalent.

You actually should bring more than one. Preferably a visa or Mastercard in addition to Amex only because most vendors don’t accept some cards or the FTF (foreign transaction fee). Most of this is found on myFICO forums and reddits

Hey Adam, were you ever able to get approved for any of the U.S. Bank credit cards?!? I see the U.S. Bank website now has a pre-approval feature under most of their credit cards.

I applied for the Citi card and after confirmation my ID and home address was approved. However only for 500$ credit line!! Now I understand why the author uses it for gas only. I am not sure should I activate it after or skip it.

I do not know if you will see my comment or respond but I have a question please. I just got the Citi double cash card. The purpose was to do a balance transfer with it. However ,they did not give me a high enough limit. What should I do? Can I call and ask if they will raise it? That is the only reason I applied for it 🙁
