Thanks for showing your setup. I found some useful ideas to add to my Zuca- Minispinner case.

You can buy clear plastic rain covers from the Zuca website and eBay or Amazon, I think. I've also seen a magenta-coloured opaque cover.

Love my Zucca bag. I use rubber shelving and a bungee cord to secure my spinner to my bag. Thanks for this podcast

They use these bags for figure skating. Super sturdy and a seat to sit on while you put on your skates.

Kari Sather absolutely! I used to work in film and TV and makeup artists love these bags for carrying their kit and giving themselves and/or their actors somewhere to sit down when they’re on location. I love that Zuca made it for one purpose and probably didn’t envisage spinners using the,! 😂

Thanks for your tour - I did notice that it appears that you use the Akerworks bobbins. This revelation came to me when I wondered how come you had so much room :-) Duh, my spinner sits on the bottom with 2-3 bobbins sitting on top of the machine. How happy are you using your Akerworks vs. the traditional bobbins? I do have some that I use on my Matchless, but was wondering about your Hansen. Also, are you happy with your Akerworks Lazy Kate? I think that is a great idea to keep one separately for your Hansen since you probably (or at least I wouldn't) don't take the Hansen and a traditional wheel with you to the same place. Thanks for all that you do, Lani in Central Oregon

Hi Lani! Thanks for your comment - I'm glad you found it useful. Yes, the Akerworks bobbins save masses of space which was the main reason I wanted to get them originally. I also find that because they're lighter I feel like brake band adjustments are more 'responsive' than traditional bobbins and the weight may even help put less strain on the mS motor under certain conditions. That's something I'd be interested to test to see whether it's just my perception or actual fact! I'm definitely really happy with the Akerworks Lazy Kate, too. It takes up far less space than my previous one, holds 4 Jumbo/Woolee Winder bobbins and can be adapted to other situations, like plying from two spindles. I did a review of it in episode 4 of my podcast Episode 4 - Updates, Akerworks Lazy Kate... and a confession! if you'd like more information. Likewise, there's more on the bobbins in Episode 2: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3ynnKuvbq6bock Hope this helps! :)

Love your videos! Have you ever considered a Hansencrafts mini spinner review?
@TinyFibreStudio5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm so glad you enjoy the videos. I will definitely do a miniSpinner review video at some stage. I've just shot an eSpinner Pros & Cons video for a more general overview of eSpinners, but I'll follow it up with a miniSpinner-specific review. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thank you for the reply! I’m looking forward to new content! And now I’m off to enjoy you latest post.

Did not quite catch the manufacturer of the drops spindle or lazy Kate that you showed in your fabulous video.

Hello 👋🏻 If it’s the ones I’m thinking of, the company is Akerworks.

Hi, could you please give the dimensions of your little handmade fabric securing device? Thanks!

Where do you get the mini scale?
@TinyFibreStudio5 жыл бұрын
Mine came from Amazon. If you search for ‘jeweller’s scale 0.001 you should find a few. The 0.001 is important if you’re weighing small amounts of yarn/dye powder.

I've been searching for small boxes similar to what she's using inside the Zuca bag. I haven't found the right size yet in the U.S.

I did get very lucky finding the perfect size boxes for it. Fingers crossed you find something suitable soon.

That’s not the right use for a Zico bag
@TinyFibreStudio5 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry it wasn’t what you expected but there is no “right use” for a Zuca case. Its marketed for ice skating (sport version) travel and make up but ultimately you can put whatever you want in it. It’s perfect for my use.
