Lauren eliza97 That surprised me too. Maybe she thinks she is funny and cool. But she isn't. And I don't belong to the plastic enabling fraction in this comment section. Swayzee is neither disabled and very much able to buy fresh fruits and veggies and cook a regular meal for herself and her family. It is such a shame. Does she think we are stupid? Does being a mother of two give you the right to act like that? Instead of spending time on YT preaching she should take responsibility for the well-being of her environment and family, "tiny baby and partner" ( strange way of talking of your loved ones). I am so annoyed, I will unsubscribe.

@@melinaburkhardt421 I think you're looking too much into it. She can buy and eat whatever food she wants, just like you can. Her partner is also in the household and probably does a lot of the grocery shopping as well. Swayze has made it pretty clear in her other videos that she's someone picky/ doesn't come across as someone who would eat a ton of fresh foods and veggies. My comment wasn't to bash her. Plus not every mom likes to cook. So who are you to critique her for that?

@@rabbitwho it is very messed up. especially when it comes to soy products. it costs $2.50 for a block of tofu meanwhile soy beans are one of the highest growing crops in the us (bc of animal feed) and yet soy products go for double the price as let's say black beans. my biggest gripe however is with convenience foods. you can get 2500 calories worth of nutritionally diluted food at McDonald's for $5 while a balanced grain bowl vegan or not is gonna run you $12+ and only provide 800kcal. there needs to be subsidizes put in place but the problem with that is politicians then get to decide what is or isn't healthy.
@trackee2024

rabbitwho the US is huge, it really depends on where you live. Tofu for a block is around $1 for me in the Midwest. In other areas, I hear it’s about $3. When I lived in CA, avocados were only a few cents (or free, my childhood home had an avocado tree!). In the Midwest, they’re around $2.50 each. Just egg and Gardein is stupid expensive everywhere though... processed stuff is just pricier. I could eat healthy and well on fresh greens I grow myself, cheap bags of rice and beans, bread and cheap blocks of tofu. It would be boring though. 😂

I laughed at the wheat germ. Just about everyone I knew in the 1970’s had a jar of wheat germ living in the back of their fridge. Every now and then I would put it in some yogurt. Mom would look like she was torn between wondering if it was still safe to allow her child to eat it and being pleased that she could justify still having it because look! someone does eat it. It was in the fridge so long, we probably should have given it a name like all the other household pets.

@@megananderson4662 I am one of her followers that is not vegan. I also have no wish of becoming a vegan. However I live in a 3rd world country and due to all year round 7 out of 7 days a week farmers market I have access to a lot of legumes and beans and vegetables that are not pre packaged. I am not a huge meat eater, I stick to chicken and I use like milk, eggs and sour cream, and I love following vegan youtubers for all sorts of insights into veggies and beans. Because of vegan KZbin I learned how to cut out even more meat (50%) and replace it with chickpeas and lentils and other beans. I would have never thought to make such changes. In my country people are not accustomed to many highly nutritious (and cheap) things. Most use some beans and oats just to feed farm animals. But I digress. I am privileged enough to know that I can access A LOT of produce free of package, even though I live in a less ideal place in the world. And it's sad seeing how vegans want to do good by our planet by not consuming meat but the mock meats and vegan specialities come wrapped in a ton of plastic. And they are very expensive too.

Very Lost I suppose it depends upon how long you expect to have your food around. As a person who has been without a fridge for long stretches of time, and also as a person who has worked on a farm, I can inform you that you’d be very surprised to learn how long most foods which “require refrigeration” do not actually require refrigeration. Refrigeration merely extends the shelf life of things, but many things that we think need to be refrigerated really don’t. I mean if all that is in your peanut butter is legitimately peanuts and salt, and you’re not trying to keep the same jar around for months or something, then it probably doesn’t need to be put in the fridge. It’s not going to spoil over the course of a few days.

@@shadowcastprime2100 it's an egg substitute made primarily from mung beans. It comes in a liquid and you can use it like scrambled eggs. It's actually pretty good.

I don't usually like vanilla flavored stuff, but there is another new soylent flavor, I think its like vanilla Cafe or something. That one was surprisingly good to me. It also has caffeine in it, so sometimes I get it as a quick breakfast and coffee combo :)

@@mrwood4557 Oh it is probably healthier than grass fed meat (being local does not change the nature of your meat, everything is local to someone), which is a probable carcinogen. It is just that it is very high in sodium and (in some cases) saturated fat, which might not be a very good choice. Obviously, we don't know what constitutes the bulk of her diet. We are just seeing her fridge, which might not represent her diet accurately. (Please don't bother answering that the probable carcinogenicity of red meat is just "a lie".)

Have you seen the frozen Just Egg packs?! They cook in about 5 minutes, (or even less if you microwave them) and are excellent with black salt and pepper.

you just watched "a recipe of how to destroy your environment" video. all this plastic containers containing plastic lab food is insanity. just came back from Greece. i ate grilled fish at a family Taberna. the package for my fish was the Aegean sea. the package for my olives and figs was their backyard trees. everything was home made and absolutely delicious. unnatural vegan hates half of her food. maybe its because she cant even make her own sauce or cut her own vegetables.

Looking great! I looked up the ingredients of one of the Gardein mock meat products and the ingredient list was very good. Everybody here who is dogging out her processed and packaged foods needs to look at the labels and see what is in them. She has plenty of fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables too. This fridge is in great shape. I'm not vegan but if this approach works according to nutrition experts and dietitians, then she is obviously doing great with these fridge contents. All the comments criticizing her package and processed foods just make it clear how necessary this channel is. She's getting her food information from nutrition experts. Where are you getting yours???????
