Very Lost I suppose it depends upon how long you expect to have your food around. As a person who has been without a fridge for long stretches of time, and also as a person who has worked on a farm, I can inform you that you’d be very surprised to learn how long most foods which “require refrigeration” do not actually require refrigeration. Refrigeration merely extends the shelf life of things, but many things that we think need to be refrigerated really don’t. I mean if all that is in your peanut butter is legitimately peanuts and salt, and you’re not trying to keep the same jar around for months or something, then it probably doesn’t need to be put in the fridge. It’s not going to spoil over the course of a few days.
