The sensor is the little silver/gold square thing on top of the pcb next to the LED. It's a barometric sensor. It detects the change of pressure.

It is a peizoelectric plate. When you press the ball the plate compresses and causes an electric current.

Its a Barometric pressure sensor, detects the atmospheric pressure and on the side of the LED. It´s that metal can with a hole.

When you squeeze, the base of the bulb has a ring on it that makes contact with the contacts on the board, you can see the ring sensor at the end of the video. Squeezing it pushes the ring down.

Hey, that very small silver case with a hole in it is an air pressure sensor, just like the BME280. It detects the pressure change as you had guessed, and triggers the color change

the chip with the hole in it is probably a barometer (or more likely soc with barometer) that detect the change in air pressure(can't see its number in the video to be sure) there isn't seams to be anything else that can detect it (and is visible in the video)

the sensors on the Bottom basically detect the color of the object, but of course you knew that. the way it works is it shines the light on the object, and the sensor detects what light bounces BACK to it. for example if the item is black, there would be little to no reflection, and the sensor would detect little light and know it was black. and when you put it on... lets say... green, then light would be absorbed EXCEPT for green, and then green light would bounce back, and the sensor would know it is green. let me know if this helps.

It looks like a piezo sensor on the board. The rubber changes the pressure it sees without it I'm not sure how hard you'd have to press to trigger the color change

I think the sensor for switching the color is the little silver square on the LED side of the PCB. Could be that this is a microphone and the PCB senses the pressure change with it. It could also be a barometer which does the same thing but it’s a different kind.

the sensor is probably a pressure sensor, I think it is the little chip that you see on 7.45 underneath the RGB led. But i am not so sure because i can't see the full pcb's.

I'd say that white square chip in the middle was the pressure sensor. Either that or it was somewhere on the bottom with the light sensor, but I'm guessing it was the white one on top. Love the determination to get it open though!

The board most likely has an air pressure sensor. They look just like the black little things on the board and don't stand out, so it's hard to tell.
