That flex (ribbon) cable is not a sensor. It connects display to the mother board…

Not all people are capable of doing this battery replacement process .. I wish if they used the same method of the suunto core black watch .. anyhow I will wait for hopefully a solar powered version of this awesome watch

@@ravenandthestranger It's their loss, they can add another 50-75 maybe even 100 dollars and add solar/heart beat and some software tweaks, I see a gap in this price point, there are lots of smart watches but none come with build quality of G Shock and frankly this square/hexagon model is quite unique and that is the first thing that will attract anyone who wants something other than rectangles and circles.

Hello, it's not necessary to remove the bracelet. By slightly removing the black plastic, the metal plate has been removed. I just did it. My watch froze as soon as I changed screens, I couldn't access any settings. An exclamation mark was present at the bottom right of the screen.

you really have to remove the straps so you can open the cover. I watch my hubby changed a lot of GShock battery(s).

I really want one but hate casio, and rubber straps in general. I have a trusty dw5600 that has the jays and kays adaptor with a canvas 2 piece and love it. Hopefully someone comes out with a way to change straps beyond the casio ones. Cool watch. I even like the green/yellow

Most smartwatches need tobe recharged daily (apple watch) weekly (ish mostly samsung and lower end garmins) multi weekly (hgher end garmins) 50days ish (a random garmin) but this one lasts up to two years. that’s insane for a smartwatch

This watch is real crap - the battery only lasts a few days with Casio Move sync. Anyone has a solution for this problem? I'm going to return the second watch - the first was sold to me already at 0 battery, the second had a battery depleted in 3 days , so i changed the battery and after 4 days here we are again. Terrible, terrible watch by Casio i wasn't expecting this

@@GiShockGo Masters in Time...gosh darnit...did I mess up? How the heck can a bad watch get released from the factory. I opened it up, the time was on, a pressed a few buttons starting the stopwatch. Then set it down until I could dig into the manual. When I picked it up the (!) was flashing in the bottom corner and no buttons will function.

The manual reads that this is the expected behavior with a low battery. So the non functioning doesn't worry me but the battery does.

@@isthi000ify Masters In Time was responsive. They gave me $20 to cover the shipping to Casio for warranty repair they claimed would be fine. Casio said it was not covered since it was bought from a grey market dealer. They replaced the battery and sent it back to me dead. I complained about that and they offered a device swap. But they didn't have the blue. So I have a black one now. It was a disaster.
