After like a week and a half of trying to scan my face in NBA 2K17, I pretty much shaved my head bald lol (you have that part done). Then I put my face in direct sun light, make sure the light is right on your face (don't look into the Sun, now), and you don't have shadows anywhere on your face. It also helps if you let your facial hair grow in a little (No joke man, it's that serious lol). Also I noticed the app had a bug with my phone, sometimes the camera would widen out my face (that never works, make sure the camera isn't widening your face). When you turn your head, make sure you don't look at the camera, just turn slow and try to catch the green boxes out of the corner of your eyes, don't stop either, go slow, left to right. Make sure the camera lens is a little below your eyes like they show in the video image. Think of it like your shaving with a little pocket mirror. Lots of work, but worth it when you get that good scan in man.

For the 2K17 scan it's best to use natural sunlight. I had to do it about 3 times before I got it to work.

Also for NBA2k17, for some reason it works best when you're out in sunlight. Studio lights don't work well for some reason.

The best face scan i got was when i used natural light sitting on my back porch. No matter what i came out deformed when doing it in my house. Also make sure you don't hold the phone too close to your face. 2K recommends at least 18 inches away.
