I absolutely love that Garrets parents shared out family heirlooms to all their children! Having lost my parents, I know the sadness of going through their things & deciding who has what! It was done nicely of course, similar to what Garret said, we all had different memories & reasons for wanting certain things. I just think how much nicer though to have the amazing memory of your parents their to talk about what each item means to them. I’ve made a memory unit in my bedroom which has a few items of my parents which hold treasured childhood memories for me & a few items from my children’s baby days & the odd gift my children gave me for Mother’s Day! Loved this video so much, seeing the kids having such a blast with their cousins, I think it’ll be a memory they cherish forever! ❤️💙💚

I just wanted to tell you that I found your channel about 2 weeks ago and just finished watching every video (maybe I binged watch) it is so wonderful watching your family. You can see and feel how much love you have for each other and your children. Your adventures are so much fun to watch. I also have gotten some great ideas for my videos for our channel which is about all our adventures in our Ranger Tug boat. I love the way you interact with your children and how patient you are at teaching them new things, it is wonderful to watch. I have 4 grown children with my oldest 33 and youngest 24. I have a special needs daughter who is 26 but mentally about 10. She will live with us forever as she is not able to take care of herself. She has neurofibromatosis and 2 optic nerve glioma’s , the one in her left eye has overtaken her optic nerve and she is totally blind in that eye, we teach our children all kinds of things when they are growing up but it amazes me how much you can learn from your children. She is so loving and caring. She loves to do things as a family and kinda hates to try new things but I make her try it at least once or how would she ever know if she likes it or not. I also think that his how they start to learn how to trust and respect people (On a side note she will say no to everything).It was very cool to see you do that with your children. I have had people tell me that I am a mean horrible parent for making her try something that she doesn’t want to. They have told me “she is autistic and blind in one eye and has 2 brain tumors she should just sit and watch TV so she is safe”. I will never be that parent that just stands by and encourages her to do nothing. She is autistic and has some other challenges, but that doesn’t mean she can’t do things like all of us. I believe she can do anything she wants to and even some things she doesn’t want to do. Over the years she has tried skiing, tubing, ice skating and many more things. So I love that you take your kids on so many adventures, they will cherish those things as they get older. You both are wonderful and caring parents. Once again the Gee family have made me cry, this time I cant figure out if its happy or sad tears. My family and I are in the middle of emmigrating and sadly due to COVID we got split up. I am now in a different country with my youngest sister and older brother, while the rest of my family is at home. Scary times, but this video reminded me that no matter what happens or how long it takes, family will be there at the end of the tunnel :'-)

@@angeloddrev I agree, but on the other hand, I rewatch the older videos and enjoy vicariously swimming with sharks, whales, whalesharks, snorkeling and Garrett teaching all of them to feel confident in deep water. They have figured out their place in the money river and under a capitalist system, who can blame them for grabbing the opportunities. If the balance continues to shift to more ads and less content, I'll probably stop watching. But for now, not a chance.

I think this family have shown time and again that they are very conscious of giving back to others. Everyone is dealing with their own personal hardships during this pandemic. Of course each on a different scale of loss and hardship, and it can be difficult to see how people with more gifts in life are struggling, but we are all human. This family would have lost prospective income with inability to travel. So I absolutely expect to see more ads from them now which I am very fine with. This family is blessed, I have relied on their joy to keep me well during these times. Even if they live in great comfort, I see this as their gift to others.

This was my favorite video! Family time is the most precious commodity, in my opinion. I cried through the part where Garrett’s dad shared family heirlooms. When my mother passed, this is exactly how we divided up her possessions and it worked so well. No fighting, we all knew there were things that would be meaningful to each other and gave freely to one another. It was beautiful to see your family experience this but still have your parents alive and share the history. Glad you could have this great reunion.

This makes me miss my family so so much. We are still in quarantine over here in Colombia and today it's the first time I saw some of my uncles and aunties but I can't see my cousins yet and I miss them all so much. We used to travel a lot with them and I just miss that life. Hopefully this pandemic will be over soon so I can see them.
