The new carved Stone that looks yellowish was put there many months ago to replace one that had been knocked / fallen over, all the gates had fallen onto the ground , very slow restoration by someone.

The Horse and Jockey, has had 3 different locations that I've noticed over the years of this pubs history timeline .The 1st Horse and Jockey that you have shown was use to be next in front of the Arrowe Park Hotel, 2nd Location Horse and Jockey that i have seen in old Edwardian or maybe Victorian photos is at the top of Rake Lane opposite other side of the road were the Eagle and Crown is now today, 3rd Horse and Jockey location is were it is now at the Upton Village traffic lights junction crossroads. 😀😃😀

Hi, yes there there are a few old photos images of Upton Village showing the second Horse and Jockey, it could be between 1920 to 1950s, not sure on exactly the years, Regards, 😀😃😄
