Boo Boo is a chill dude! I got a Savannah Monitor as a pet when I was a teenager. At the time I also had an Iguana in a separate aquarium. Anyway, she made me take it back to the pet store after a few weeks because it smelled bad even though I kept everything as clean as possible. She was right that they defiantly do smell worse than an Iguana.

Thank you for watching. I appreciate it. Itt will be a very rewarding relationship. Not sure if you saw my video about using the bathtub to help te. I would sit in my tub with Buddy (no water, drain closed), and just read. In a confined space he was forced to walk over me and around, on top of me etc. Worked wonders. I would just read a book in the tub or play on the phone while he did that. You should try it. It's not stressful for your tegu and he'll get used to you

He is beautiful! I have a Giant Green Iguana who I slowly trained to go potty in bigger & bigger containers I put in the bathroom. Mantrid is huge & he uses under-the-bed plastic storage bins. I put warm water in bottom, he goes in it, then I slide the water/mess right into the toilet & disinfect everything w/wipes. When I first had him he went on paper in a glass aquarium. Now he has his own bedroom.
