Josh Andrews, offensive lineman for the Atlanta Falcons, shares his story of living with narcolepsy to raise global awareness for World Narcolepsy Day! In this video, he shares about managing narcolepsy as an NFL player, husband and father. Josh also shares about his decision to speak up and some advice for someone newly diagnosed with narcolepsy.
About Josh: Josh Andrews is an American football offensive guard for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon State. He has also been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts, and New York Jets. Josh is also a husband, father, and a person living with narcolepsy.
About the Video: Josh is sharing his narcolepsy story for the first time publicly in partnership with Project Sleep in honor of World Narcolepsy Day on Sept. 22, 2021. About Narcolepsy: Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder of the sleep/wake cycle, affecting about 1 in 2,000 people, or 3 million people worldwide. However, experts believe the majority of people living with narcolepsy are currently undiagnosed, and thus without treatment or support.
