These are so much better than the Groms. They almost bridge the gap between tiny bike and full size. Seems just a little bigger. The engine is a whole different beast too. 4 valves with an aggressive cam and a short stroke is a far cry from Honda's little 2 valve engine. This thing feels like a 125 dirt bike, while the Grom engine feels like a scooter. Just my opinion though!

I’ve had my Benelli 135 for a year and 3 months and let me tell you! I’m so glad I chose it over the grom! For one, it’s been so reliable so far. The only issue I’ve had is change the battery (I use it a lot). I live in a place with quite bad roads and yet it’s been really sturdy. It’s turned HEADS EVERYWHERE I GO! I love my Benelli. Go for it!

I posted this as a reply below but it should be seen by those wondering about actual top speed. I weigh 140 pounds. Guys, I have 2 2022 TNT 135's. With GPS and speedo corrected I assure you that at 10K rpm you will be hitting the rev limiter and going 60 to 61 mph with the stock sprockets. With a 16 tooth countershaft neither will pull redline and top speed is actually less due to this. I have the PipeWerx on both. The info to correct the speedo is easy to find and every real phone has a gps and because of this I find it amusing so many people think it can go 70 mph. Nope, not even close.....unless maybe the rev limiter is broken and somehow magically it can pull more than 10K! Good video. Ed

When I was racing an FZ600 in 1987 I had a YSR50 2stroke pit bike that was smallest street legal bike of the day. Mine was fitted with a D&D expansion chamber and 22MM Mikunis up from 16 MM and K&N filter and counter sprocket change. Out the box the bike did 50 MPH with a five speed. After my mods the bike did 60 MPH and I would actually pass people on 600's in the tight canyons.

Hi and thanks for all your vids on the TNT135. I got mine in green a few months ago and found your vids really helpful. Mine also came with the pipwerx midpipe and it was LOUD. After much fiddling I've managed to get it much quieter, almost stock level I'd say. Involved adding a generic baffle pre-tail pipe and 2 removable db killers at twin outlet. I've had a grom and z125 previously and totally agree with you re: the grom. SO much aftermarket stuff, z125 is good too. The TNT is certainly not as big aftermarket, but parts can be found. The TNT drivetrain, compared to stock grom and Z125 is better imo. The engine is much more eager to rev out and feels way less stressed out doing so, the clutch bite is stronger and the gearbox is a peach. Stock oil cooler is a big win in my books (it gets HOT here in summer in Australia). But all in all these bikes are FUN FUN FUN whichever one you get. Thank you again for the content and all the best for your channel.

Thanks for the video--I've had my THT135 for about a year now and have enjoyed it. I chose it over the Grom and the Kawasaki Z125 mainly for its size--the other two bikes were just a little too small to be comfortable for me. And the extra power is nice too. The bike has been trouble-free. It's a lot of fun and surprisingly comfortable for its size. The only disappointment is that it won't reach the advertised top speed of 70 mph. It will do an indicated 70 mph, but the speedometer as it comes from the factory reads about 5 mph high. So the true top speed is more like 65.
@lexdfox2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree with you on the size compared to the grom and z125. I'm also feeling like my grom actually has more top speed than the benelli, might be putting together a grom v benelli top speed run video soon!

Great update. I'm coming up on a year with mine, looking forward to getting it back with the (hopefully) final round of warranty repairs complete soon. I bought the 125 a year ago to go to work with. Those benelli’s are realy fun, i realy like them, their very good. Theres only 1 downside, the stock tires that comes with it, theyre very bad. I suggest changing those for “Michelin city grip” or other tires. Those stock tires are dangerous when ur driving when its raining. Here in belgium it cost about 120€ for those michelin tires, but they can save ur life, so its worth it in my opinion. I had a crash with it while it was raining, crossing tram rails. Since i bought other tires, never had any issues with it. Anyway, very good and fun bikes. Dont get me wrong, im not promoting michelin tires here hehe. After my crash i did some research on google and youtube and many people were suggesting those tires, so i bought those. Have a nice day and safe drive

Hey man, I’ve been watching alot of your videos, particularly the Benelli TNT 135 videos. I am leaning towards the TNT over the Grom. I know at the end if this video you said if you had to choose one it would be the Grom but more so because the sentimental value and its the OG. On paper the TNT seems to have more going for it: personally I think it looks way cooler, 10cc more, 5 speed (well up until Grom 2022), dual spark, 4 valve, lower cost, and I prefer the analog tach. But on the Grom side: Honda reliability, quality, lower weight, resale value due to being well known, ABS option, and aftermarket support (not a big deal to me because I just want to put an intake on it, which the TNT does have available). Just wanted to see if you had any final inputs on TNT vs Grom as a first bike. I just want a fun mini bike to commute to work on back roads, not interested in a full size bike. Thanks for your videos!

Sounds like the benelli is right up your alley. The benelli has yet better stock stats and there's not much aftermarket support but since that's not a priority for you I say benelli all the way! I'll note I've heard of some other small issues with benellis like bolts that won't stay but easily fixable.

Loose bolts from a single cylinder is no surprise! Thats what loctite is for!
