This is labeled super beginner but most of the comments are in Spanish and I still feel like I'm supposed to know more than I do. I'm feeling demotivated so far. 😞 But the context clues were a bit better in this one so I feel like I at least know what's going on overall.

Many people here may be like me. I have studied Spanish for many years and in some ways I am quite advanced in my ability to read, write, and understand. I don't live in a Spanish speaking country, so I use every resource that I can online from beginner to native level content to practice and improve my Spanish. The level of Spanish in a lot of the replies makes it clear that many people here are not super beginners, or they are using something like Google translate to make their reply. I study languages for a hobby, and language learning is often a slow process that can be frustrating at times. Hang in there. I can promise you over time with practice and dedication you get better and better without even realizing it!

You aren't meant to necessarily understand 100% of these videos, the purpose of them is that a "super beginner" should be able to figure them out and understand what is being talked about.

Literally just trust the process. You don’t have to understand everything. Keep listening and learning 1 word at a time. By the time you do this 100 times, you will see more and more repeated words and you will naturally learn them

I have a question for you more experienced Spanish speakers here or the channel creator. The accent I'm gathering here is more of a Barcelona-type accent, I believe. What I'm curious about is if I'm trying to learn more of a Mexican dialect, will I benefit from this channel? I grew up around a large Caribbean/Puerto Rican-influenced Spanish. Now, I live out west and mostly hear Mexican Spanish. As far as comprehension, I'm relatively decent overall. Where I struggle is putting it all together to form grammatically correct sentences, and of course some of the different vocabulary used between cultures. Aside from full-on immersion within my target culture, will I still get a lot of benefit from this channel and its content? Thanks.

You can find out based on the thumbnail. If it is spanish from Spain, there is a spanish flag. Else there is a Mexican flag

Because she is talking about the biggest one in 'the world' (del mundo). So for example, which one is longer, the longest ... in the world, or the longest ... T hat is why she is referring to the map, to show you either the specific place where it is, or to show that it includes all the specific objects of the whole world.

What does del mundo mean here? Translation says “of the world” but not seeing how it fits into the context of the video.

Using the tunnel/canal example, the question is "Which is larger, the longest tunnel in the world (the world's longest tunnel) or the longest canal in the world (the world's longest canal)?". Hope that helps :)
