Yeah, but does anybody really realisticly believe that their relationship has a chance in the long run? There are so many obstacles to overcome and so much middle ground resolutions that everybody will be unhappy because everybody thinks they got nothing. The biggest chance of their relationship surviving more than five years is if one of them leaves their culture completely and assimilates to the other culture.

Due to my career in IT, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of people from India, Pakistan and the surrounding area. As in every country and culture, there are pleasant and terrible people. Unfortunately, the level of poverty in these countries is unimaginable for us in the West, and films of this type fail to show it. As in any film of this type, it is colorful, danceable and manages to overcome cultural differences without any problems, while the realities are much sadder and this film definitely does not show them. At least not in the trailer.

@@MeteCanKarahasan What do you mean? He doesn't have to 'fantasise' anything. He received messages through angel Gabriel. He was a man yet he councelled women's matters too, because he had a judgment of what is right and what is wrong. He was a messanger, he was delivering gods message on earth, he didn't 'invent' anything from himself. So just because he was an orphan doesn't mean he couldn't have tell about the fact that heaven lies below mother's feet. There's also another saying of prophet Muhammad (pbuh ) that one man asked him regarding loving and respecting the most who's next after God and prophet? , he replied, "your mother", the man again asked after mother who's next?, the prophet replied, "your mother", the man asked again who's next?, prophet replied, "your mother", the man asked then who's next?, then the prophet replied, "and then your father." Mothers have such a position in Islam. Also, prophet (pbuh) was raised by a nurse whom he loved as dearly as his mother his whole life. 🤍

Arranged, not forced. Theres a difference. I have seen it work out perfectly with many families. Most of the time, when the families arrange it, its no different to matchmaking sites. They help find the person who suits you and your needs, and you do there's. First your strangers, then friends. Love happens over time. It comes with appreciating a person, for their goods parts and their flaws. The main goal though, is for both sides to end up happy. I think it takes the stress off dating in the modern world.

Considering white men enslaved pakistan people. They should be the bad guy. And they also killed white women who were married to pakistan men. And hurt mixed race children.

Anybody else thinks of the movie „last Christmas“ when seeing the two houses? 😂 also this seems like a refreshing movie where you could root for either the cliché or the arranged marriage, either way seems like a perfect outcome.

Totally here for a romcom 🥰

What a cast.

The title has a copyright infringement. There's already a movie called "what's love got to do with it" that's about Tina Turner.

I love this trailer SO much more than the actual film 😂 The film was a bit too caught up in serious family issues… But with the trailer I can only see the happy parts and I love that 😅

The makers of this movie will have to change the name of this movie because What's Love Got to Do with It is a 1993 film based on the life of musical icon Tina Turner.

I am crossing my fingers so hard that they are two bestfriends with parallel love stories and not the bestfriends ending up together. I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers but it would kind of nullify the rest of the movie. I'd still watch it either way 😂😂😂

The Lily James character had her chance with the neighbor for years apparently. I want to see the arranged marriage turn out well for once.
