I just finished 5 weeks with Giant 3.0. It is real. Both the Giant and Strong will get you both leaner and stronger. Even if over 60 like I. Thank you Geoff. Be patient it will come.

I have found in my own training if I put a focus on the double front squat with a secondary focus on the double clean and press (doing both of these heavy not trying to focus on volume) while eating like an adult good things will happen. I can "lose weight" faster doing high rep lighter weight snatches/clean and press but I dont get the same strength gains as I do with front squats and clean and press done heavy.

Geoff's STRONG! and THE GIANT don't have the squats. You'd these cycle these with some double squats programmes or always have some form of all of them in training?

@@cioran1754 Geoff has made videos about the importance of the front squat. The main difference in his programs and my training is I put the front squat in front of the clean and press and he does the reverse as a main focus. I promise you if you focus and really work your front squat it will improve your clean and press. I have never met someone who can do heavy double front squats that cant do all the other main lifts well but I have seen several people who can do all the other lifts but buckle under heavy front squats. The leg, back, and mid section strength you get from heavy front squats just cant be equaled by any of the other lifts.

I got lean for a role in a little artsy thing with Geoff’s extreme burn. If you want to give your belt a hard time keeping up, do that program. Man… you get shredded. However, do something like the Giant program and cycle that a few times. Man, body strength and control or movement IQ-it doesn’t get enough attention. I get much more satisfaction from that than the sculpted look. I’m from South Georgia, my god-father owned a junk yard and he’d make the distinction. Gym muscles or junk yard muscles. Junk yard muscles any day. It’s to embarrassing too look the part and slip up when its time to work.

Just because he thinks barbells are superior (and for pure strength they are) doesn't mean his takes on the fitness industry as a whole are wrong.
