What are those tent like shades with the beach chairs I saw in the beginning of the video? Are those available to rent, I'm going to Myrtle Beach in June.

There are restrictions as to what you can put on the beach after May 1. Tents and canopies are no longer allowed, but you can have an umbrella. There are umbrella and chairs for rent in certain areas depending on where you're staying. We hope you have an amazing trip!

May was the month we always started our vacations here. Amazing how many times we got roasted at the beach in just a few hours.... in May. The sun is deceptive. I don't think traffic is nearly as bad in May as it is June or July where it's bumper to bumper and slow going since the brightest drivers don't arrive until well past July, yeah I said it. Lol

The sun and the reflection from the sand and water are definitely intense here. Even though we only moved from North Carolina, since living here I've noticed I start burning as early as February if I don't wear sunscreen!

Heading down on May 11th for a week. I make sure we never plan our trip in May around Memorial Day. Too much traffic and saw too many accidents. Made me a bit twitchy. 😳😀 So if anyone is going around the holiday, please be extra cautious.

It's cheaper to live here than where we moved from but that's a relative thing. We're in Myrtle but not oceanfront.

If Mr. Fish still has their fish market open you could check there. There's also a stand near Surfside Beach on Kings Highway that has fresh shrimp.

I know some people go to Boulineu’s in NMB for their shrimp. It’s a great store to visit too. Lots of great food and souvenirs.

Very busy. As we mentioned many people stay beyond Memorial Day. However each year it varies, last year it rained and it wasn't very busy.
