What's New At Disney's Hollywood Studios | Walt Disney Presents, Construction Updates & More!

In today's vlog we head to Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios to see what's new since our last trip. We wanted to see if there were any changes since Hurricane Irma came through the area. We didn't see much damage, just a few trees down and things like that. We also wanted to see Walt Disney Presents which is what took the place of One Man's Dream. We were able to take a closer look at the Star Wars Land model and the Toy Story Land model. We can't wait to see both new areas of the park once they're complete! Then before we head out of the park we took another updated look at the Star Wars Land construction status in the park. What are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments down below! Plant nerd here... but a fun FYI: palm trees are the best at handling hurricanes! They're extremely aerodynamic and flexible, and the palm fronds actually fold up with the wind so they might get whipped around but are less likely to break off. Go palm trees!

I think that you all answering these questions is above and beyond. I for one, just enjoy your videos for what they are and what you put into them. Putting yourselves and most of your lives out there like you do is pretty brave considering the invasive nature of social media, and you still deserve to be able to maintain your personal lives to whatever degree you want. I totally understand that people are curious; after all, that is human nature. But ultimately it's no one's business but yours.

part of me wonders if the fountain is covered to prevent trash and things accumulating in it? If it's not being used as a fountain and whether there are flowers in it or not.... i can see it accumulating trash and stuff simply because.. a lot of people litter and don't care... cause some people just suck... idk if thats the reason but its the first thing i thought of...

It was great meeting you at DHS this day, Tim! It was really the cherry on top of our week at Disney. We appreciate you and Jen and all you do! We got our first ever annual passes, so maybe we'll bump into you again! We'll be making the 8 hour drive from GA several times in the coming months. Hi Tim! We're gutted we missed you as we were at Hollywood Studios the same day you were - we even wondered if you'd be upstairs in Pizzerizzo when we walked past - we spoke to someone in the One Man's Dream building and they mentioned a few fun things with the models; 1. The Star Wars model is just one piece out of 52 2. Star Wars land is going to include 3 rides (not just 2) - the 3rd one is secret and they don't know what it's going to be yet 3. the left hand path on the Toy Story land model is going to lead to Star Wars land 4. They told us that once Toy Story land and Star Wars land were opened, that Hollywood Studios would be equal in size to Magic Kingdom (can't remember the exact size of each land but they were both over 11 acres each) LIKE WOW!!! Keep up the good work - we love your videos :D Hi to Jenn too :D

As a native Floridian I would have thought you were familiar with royal palms and their ability to withstand high winds. I think that's why they are popular besides being so attractive.

Yea they grow in hurricane prone climates. Some are going to come down of course, but they are very flexible. It'll take a higher level hurricane to really knock most of them down.

I went to see this last Monday and was less than impressed at the display for Galaxies edge ... There could have been a video running or a large image of the entire land to go along with the section displayed . Just a very underwelming , vague part . I did see the area next to Muppets as the walls were down . looked pretty good . I took pictures .

Ahem. The icon of the 1964-65 World's Fair was the Unisphere. Tower of the Four Winds was the icon for the UNICEF-Pepsi pavillion (Small World). ;)

Just a correction, the "Tower of the Four Winds" was only the icon for Pepsi-Cola Presents Walt Disney's "it's a small world." The icon for the entire 1964-65 New York Worlds Fair was the Unisphere, which remains in the same place today, 53 years later.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this but in the model of paradise pier its very clear that they have the jumping jellyfish type ride inside the loop of the roller coaster on the right side. and California screaming was missing the sun. also, king tritons carousel was missing and it looked like a different building. could that model be a hint at the new Pixar pier with a new jumping jellyfish type ride rethemed to toy story like Disneyland Paris toy story land? And could the show building on California screaming be the incredibles themed ride. I really wanted to see so much more of that model. why Would disney put a model that isnt acurate to the real thing that paradise pier is today.

Such a weird piece of the Stars Wars Land model to display. I get that they can't display the full one from D23 because of its size and because its based on the Disneyland version with different entrances, but still such a weird piece. I think the round building with the fire is supposed to be the "Mongolian BBQ-style" restaurant that's been featured in some concept art.
