Lightning Rod lives! I work at the park and it was recertified today. Rode it 3 times as the crew got back up to speed operating it, twice up front and once in back. Still an awesome coaster! Smoooooooooooth! Especially in the front. The back can still kick you around some but nothing like the wood track. But I will have to admit that I miss the wood track. I loved the feel and sound of it. Especially coming back over the hill on the Quad Down. Sure seems strange listening to it now. After 3 years of listening to the wood track clatter it now sounds like an "Angry Wild Eagle". But a deeper, more intense roar. The park is still a last minute flurry of preparation but it is getting there. It still amazes me before opening day or setting up for the major events. It always seems like we are so very far away from being ready and that the park is an absolute shambles. But the day comes when the guests walk through the doors and all is done and good. Those who do all that hard work really rock it! Hope you all get to visit and we have a fantastic season this year.

I remember back in the 70s they used to call it Silver Dollar City when they advertised it on WCYB tv before Dolly bought it. I could only dream about it back then though. Really been lots of changes since then.

I did love the Umbrella Canopy the most. I'm glad they are welcoming it back this year. Looks like there's some new foods being introduced that looks delicious, as well as those scrumptious desserts. Dawn, you look great in purple. Fresh as Spring! 3 more weeks of Winter.

I love Blazing Fury is one of my favorite rides. It and the train is all I ride. Hubby and my son ride all the big coasters, but not me. Blazing Fury is about as big of a coaster as I want. I hope they never retire it. I can’t wait to go March 29th and 30th. We always get season passes and love it. ❤️

This was enjoyable having a pretour of what they do when closed and what is in works for this season. The preview of some of the food looks really good and some nice vibrant eye catching colors plus those flowers! Looks like it was nice day for this! I hope to go back some day and take the kids too. I know lot has changed since Tim and I went that was probably 15 yrs ago. I have seen few things that were there when we were there that I still recognize. For now, I will enjoy seeing it through your eyes/lenses.. Thank you Dawn and Will 🦋 so much appreciated 💕

It's nice that Dollywood is investing in their craftsman area. Cedar Point dumped all theirs. So disappointing. If you don't ride roller coasters, there is nothing for you at Cedar Point. Can't take my grand kids, like my grand parents took me. Such a shame. Guess we will have to come back down to get some of those nachos. Those were so good! Thanks for recommending them. We never would have ordered them on our own.
