I have something I want to share! I was so disappointed when I couldn't find Hapi-Gro landscape mix here north of Houston!! I was in Lowe's getting soil for a backyard bed I am redoing. A nice lady named Rosie who worked there asked me what I was doing with the soil she was helping me load. I told her and she said, no, no, no!! She showed me what she loves and shared that her yard has been yard of the month several times. It is Living Earth organic compost !! I believe it looks a lot like Linda's landscape mix. Rosie doesn't add mulch because it looks so good in the bed. I love the darker color and am just so very happy. I couldn't wait to share this!! The garden is going to be gorgeous, Linda. And the window box. So glad you got rain! We did too the night before last and the new soil stayed right in place and didn't run off. Happy, happy!!

Hi from Annie the garden looks fab that grass area near the garden edges would look nice if it were all bricked and stoned and just have the grass on footpath only, less watering as grass takes too much water. Your outfit looks great too.

The tree supports painted black look great. Much better. The front yard is amazing when you think how it was empty before with glaring red patio. So much change in very little time. Although I know you and everyone else wants it perfectly filled and blooming already. Soon it will be glorious as you imagine it.

I am so glad you have had some badly needed rain! I am looking forward to all of those plants and blooms filling in and shining! I can see as the garden grows it will be so lovely. I think some of the fan base is getting grumpy. Missing the old garden. But, just like you, everyone has their own taste in gardening. Some love the organized formal and others the pretty fluffy flowers everywhere. But, you Linda have a wonderful unique ability to use both in a fascinating way that makes some of us just go ahh. Another month and WOW this garden will be a smaller version of the previous front and back garden combined! I am going to love all the colors and interests!

I think planting the mature boxwoods in the front will be the exact anchor that everyone is expecting in a LV garden. I do think the asparagus fern looks too chaotic compared to all the intentional planting in the garden. But that just me. Linda! Everything is looking Lindafied! I was recently gifted a Chinese Snowball Viburnum, it was so overgrown and neglected. I planted it in a very prominent spot and trimmed away all the excess and voila! I feel as though you are part of my garden now. I also grabbed some old red bricks from the demolition of the pharmacy where I was employed for 20 years. I have also just created three boxwood topiaries and they look great.
