One more thing, light fittings I`ve added on my Revit model seem to disappear when I export it to Twinmotion, why is that so and how do I fix that?

I tried it but unfortunately it crashes everytime I open it, I guess I`ll stick to 2022 version until the developers address the crash issue.

@ArchitectureVanguard what is the exact relationship between unreal and twinmotion? I am a game dev that uses unreal. What free, can i do with twinmotion?

You can really do anything you want to with Twinmotion for free as long as it's for personal use. Their relationship is Epic Games bought Twinmotion in 2910 and has adapted it to be more and more like Unreal to the point where I describe it as Unreal Engine Lite. Easier to use and less intimidating.

@@shakaama You can use any part of Twinmotion that want but if you start selling or using the exports or TM file as a way to make money (somehow), then I would recommend you buy it. If not, no worries.

Hi! Is Path Tracer available for Mac too in this new release?😊

I unfortunately not seen that in the updates. I am sorry! My hunch is that it is because the path tracer requires a ray tracing capable graphics card.

Unfortunately, we still don't have realistic reflections and ray tracing. In lumion, mirror reflections work out of the box. And we won't see lumen in TM until the developers solve all the problems with lumen reflections.

Lumen reflections are solved in 5.1 afaik. But TM 2023 is based on 5.0 which is a bummer

Does the open xr work with phone vr too? Also my guess is twinmotion will some how merge with unreal Engine that will be easy to use like TW and give good render like UE

That’s tough to say. I would need to do more research on that. Given that it does work with openXR now, my guess is if you export a VR video, you should be able to watch that in VR on a phone.

Metal setting is typical...there is no middle ground. It's either on or off.

The user interface is getting more and more stacked and hidden. It would be really great to have a kind of advanced mode with smaller icons and more settings immediately accessible.

No no no... This will change the base idea of TM... It will complicate things... The interface is one of the easiest self guiding map.... That's what got me into TM....

I do agree it would change TM a lot from it being simple to use although I would not mind keeping the simple interface but adjusting how it is simply presented. Navigation deep into folders or materials could be simpler.

Complex is different from bad. Complex and good ui is better than easy. And having the option to go easy and complex is a better approach Than hiding everything and just be looking through everything under multiple clicks and scrolls.

Unfortunately this version doesn’t work for path tracer on my Pc, video card is GeForce RTX 2060 6GB. I understand it’s not the best card, but the previous versions worked for perfect time. Not it doesn’t start at all. I’ll stick with 2022 😊👍

I think you need 8GB video card in order for pt to work.

maybe you could help me! i tried this version but the Path tracer wont activate. it says "path tracer is disabled because DX12 is disabled" but upon checking the setting it is on the contrary enabled i tried asking the community forums but not getting any response so far. does it work with your system ? or is this some feature not working yet path tracer works in the last build for me

Awesome video as alwaySzzzZz.... By d way check out d views section in the templates... There's already set scenes.. Day/ night/dusk.. etc... 2023 Alot of gd stuff on d horizon... I can't wait to c where this release will reach... Hopefully we will have.. Dynamic windows /uvw mapping /curved path mapping / video rendering with sounds and music,,, pedestrian and car path affected snow....

I don't really understand the usefulness of the LED wall.

It's basically a curved LED for any sort of multimedia. You would want to replace it with a different material. But the nice part is you can determine the screen sizes that make up the whole wall as if you were to use it in the real world. More of a digital mockup of a wall which is cool.
