The thing is that you still can't use your own background image and when you do? it changes back to Vivaldi's. Very disappointing...

If the instant sync works well then I will move to Vivaldi as my main browser. Going to test it out later today. The Android version is still on 6.9 though. Does that matter?

@@anpo4121 i'm not having an issue using my own back ground in vivaldi and never have. I did notice that the update removed all my theme settings so that i had to recalibrate them all. Curious issue though that background image your having. Not sure what's the cause but i know if you set an image and then move the image to a different menu in the file explorer you have to go back an reapply the background.

I think the new look combined with the floating tabs looks pretty good. It's worth noting that vivaldi has done a better job on visual changes than chrome ,edge and other browsers. Chromes stuff usually looks odd. Gonna update to the new version now.

The rounding of the tabs is a setting in each theme. You can change it via Preferences > Themes > Editor > Settings > Corner Rounding.

Thanks for this 😃 Got the update & had a quick look - impressed. Only use Vivaldi for a few tasks. A bit concerned over privacy to use email & calendar functions.

the new "fat" UX is nice, but I prefer the older compact look.

I would use compact mode if it weren't for that when you enable it the floating tab ears go away.

You think that you didn't have the rounded tabs because your settings are set to be lower than the rounded? Or did it change on it's own for the other computer you have?

I hate round corner style and all that extra waste space. Now when I move the cursor to Vivaldi menu button I need to slightly move cursor back instead of just moving the mouse all the way to the top left corner. Hate that. Fortunately, there are options so it can be set to look like before the upgrade. I would love they stop doing UI changes. I like it as it is, just keep it the same forever and do security and small feature updates. I am using Vivaldi just because I like how it looks right NOW. Don't start doing stupid changes like Opera. On a positive side I do like the Dashboard. Easy way to quickly scan through fav sites.

Vivaldi has always been my favourite for the last few months, but since they too have given in to Manifest V3 and also removed their own ad block lists and there are no more personal block lists, the browser unfortunately no longer has a future for me. All the new features are all well and good, but you should concentrate on the important things.
