Didn’t have much luck with the 3rd Gen Show 8. The screen displayed “loading” and would not advance. I tried resetting, unplugging for 30 or 40 seconds. Nothing seemed to work. Too bad, I was looking forward to the upgrades on this unit. Back to my Gen 1.

i bought an echos 8 show - 3rd and appreciate you content. One thing i don't appreciate and may have been added since your video are adds which i have tried several ways to eliminate. They are called "sponsored" adds. There's a small info symbol on the bottom right of these adds you touch and it gives you the option to not display that add. Other adds follow but since doing this a few times they seem less often.

Maybe I missed it but what are you using most around the house these days? Google or Amazon? I'm still back and forth debating on switching to Alexa, but I got my Nest Hello's. I don't like how Ring doesn't record 24/7 and only when things happen which is likely to get missed.

Had mine since launch. Have noticed that photo frame worked fine and constantly cycled photos all day with rotation with local weather. Now it only cycles all photos once and the weather is never shown. Must say I could not figure out how to delete and add widgets and this video helped with that.

how do you connect multiple Alexa echo speakers together so that you can drop in from any of them? i can't see to find a way to add them to the echo 8..i tried add device but the echo 8 cannot see them.

First thing, double check under each device that the Communication setting has Drop In turned on. Next, in the Alexa app, tap the 3 line menu and then Communicate. In this menu you have the option to Drop In. This will then pull up all the devices on your account that you can Drop In on. If they are not showing, double check that device has the setting on.

I think Echo 8 animations is too fast. I have yet to figure where setting is to slow it down a little. It's there I just can't locate it today.

The routines are driving me crazy. It keeps turning the volume down in the middle of the night, and then I can’t hear my alarm in the morning. It’s playing some weird videos in the morning after I hit snooze. The clock gets really dim at night to the point I can’t see it. It’s frustrating I can’t make the clock bigger all the time. It does get bigger at night.

We had a similar situation with a previous echo show. In the morning the volume would be a lot lower and we had to turn it up. I discovered that a routine had been added todo this. I don't how or who added it but i deleted the routine and it was fine.

Wondering if they fixed the bluetooth problem. I bought this to upgrade from my 1st generation but the bluetooth wouldn't connect to my various bluetooth speakers/earbuds. I sent it back.

Can you change the default position of the clock or is it still in the lower left corner? I have the Echo 8 2nd gen...My bed is kind of high and blocks the clock making it kind of useless as a clock. I would be able to see if the default can be changed to the top left or right.

Sent both mine back! The spatial audio really affected my hearing! It sounded like the vocals were in a echoed room.ive now replaced them with the show 10 3rd gen.👍

I can't remove it from the app on my phone or from the Show 8 itself. It gives me the option to edit it, but never to remove it. I've even edited out my name, but it still shows it as a profile.

What a pretty name! Yes you can in yhe settings. You can change the wake word to: Echo, Computer, Amazon or Ziggy.
