Bit of a long-term project, how about filming a seasonal campaign on a chosen lake in a episodic format. I would certainly be interested to see how you approach a new water, what you learn, and how your approach changed as your learnt about the nuisiances of the lake and the fish it contains. A monthly update on your progress would certainly be something I would forward too.
@alfietomkins18793 ай бұрын
yes i was thinking the exact same too
@TheLastCast873 ай бұрын
I second that , definitely a full season campaign on the syndicate, monthly updates. Full access to baiting approach aswell which would be cool (lake trip just for baiting , if allowed)
@kennywatkins87953 ай бұрын
See I think it should be on somewhere everyone can get on like the average Joe who doesn't have time or money to get on a syndicate, somewhere like Norton Disney, say pick turner's lake and fish it from Jan 1st right through to December 31st so it's a full year every season on a lake everyone could and would be able to fish
@scotttbradshaw26203 ай бұрын
I would also be interested in this as this is what I am trying to do as a new angler. Trying to figger out how to approach a new lake and then how to adjust this throwout the year and learning the lake and how the stock change.

Truthfully, I enjoy your videos purely because of you being social and relaxed. Yea I've learnt alot from your carp videos and even did my first night a few months ago after watching some of your night fishing videos. And ive been entertained with ones like the temu and cheap rods. But 100% the reason I watch is because of you being relatable to most of us. It's not too formal or put on for the camera. Whatever you decide to make. I'll continue to watch brother 💪🏼🎣

Your channel Curly, you do as you please. I like watching any videos you put out.
@jamespb933 ай бұрын
No matter what you put out I would watch, you're a relatable person and I enjoy watching you and hearing you chat. You're video on your other channel where you are finishing jobs around the house preparing your daughter for when she crawls has made me do the same now that my wife is pregnant but I've put it off for the same reasons you did. I think if you want to please the masses and draw in views I definitely think you should spread across multi species, satisfy the wider angling community. The moat video was great because its something that all of us have probably thought at some point when visiting an old ruin or house with water "wonder if you can fish that" but we don't act on it, well you did and now others will. Me personally would love to see you river fishing and sea fishing but out of all, what I want to see most is you enjoying yourself. KZbin is rammed with how to videos and what tactics to use etc etc and they are all different but yet the same in a way. It's the person in front of the camera that makes the difference and you Curly have that difference. Let's see you fish different species but keep one thing exactly the same. YOU!

The tuition sessions sound a good idea but how about a seasonal subscriber session. In Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter you pick one subscriber and fish their chosen venue, be it syndicate (if allowed) or local day ticket. You would showcase some different waters and get your subscribers involved with your content. Good luck for the future Joe.

I like your content as is mate. But seeing as you asked here are a few of the channels i also like watching due to their outlook on fishing, Fish with Carl, no explanation needed. Adventure fishing UK, Love the places he visits and how simple he keeps it. Ginger fisherman, nice bloke and mixes it all up a bit. Magic of fishing, so tranquil and no over the top crap like you get from the yanks lol. I'm 52 , fishing from about 7yrs old, i remember fishing the the river Severn in Abermule Wales with my uncle, i have very fond memories of those times. He taught me simple fishing / ledgering/ float fishing. Also fly fishing and tying my own flies. So anything along those lines really strikes a cord with me. Keep up the good work, cant wait to see what's coming up.
@jamiesmith93993 ай бұрын
Interesting question Joe. I think you’ve got a decent balance of content right now, but I think there’s room for some longer films focusing on one goal or target which give you a chance to flex your production skills a bit more. Lots to go for locally for that too; floating harbour, K&A, fruitless months on Cheddar Res etc.
@mrwinfield10843 ай бұрын
As a new angler plenty of vids on rigs kit and all that jazz, what would help me is a vid on bait. To be specific quantity’s mix etc and how the time off year,lake , venue can change this. On the lakes I fish one lake responds to less bait and fish are spooky. Others need bait in bulk or drip fed

I think a large part of your most popular video is down to the location. It's so surreal and beautiful, that's not to say your story telling and the way to talk to the audience isn't good because it is! I am fairly new to carp fishing but I really enjoy it. I myself have 2 children and don't get to fish as much as I'd like to. Something I struggle with is knowing when to bait up and how much to put out, but also not being super confident with my spot and rig placement. Not sure if this is something you could make a video on 👍

You come across like an everyday person which is why I like your channel. Great idea, going with others showing different ways of doing things (setting up, camera work/editing,etc). Doing the Vs was a nice video and fishing on a budget is needed nowadays (seeing the product in action) and also knowing what not to get would help. Please keep up the carp fishing (even if you don’t catch) you show a good content and unlike the main named KZbinrs that catch most of the time (because it’s not only them fishing), we do blank from time to time. I would like to see more old lakes and not syndicate lakes, they have more history behind them which is interesting too. Like this video does go on a little (you say that too) so am I 😂

I think your smart enough now to have figured out how to promote content. Stuff like this that grabs the audience and makes them want to interact with it will always help. Collaborations are always a good one, supporting others success, and sharing it. Hi Curly as a relative newbie to carp fishing, I found loads of videos for beginners on rig tying, kit needed etc but one thing I found lacking was baiting up, mainly how much should you throw out. I still have no idea how much should be thrown out at the start of your session and how often you should add some more to the swim. Also how long should you leave you rig out before refreshing it. Maybe you could do a short vid on this subject.

I hope your daughter gets better soon! In terms of content, as a new carp angler, there is a whole lot of phraseology (like doubles etc) and all the equipment that is available is vast. Could go in depth about what to expect as a new angler. Your views on different reels, rods, places you look at as an individual angler etc. Also the back to basics with your wife was incredible aswell so that is something that could be extended further? Could also go around the uk, test out lakes in different areas. I’m based in Yorkshire but the vast majority of content from vloggers are in the south. The cheap buy stuff was brilliant aswell (Temu/wish/will the cheap rod break) and as a person who is new to fishing but everything is so expensive so that was absolutely incredible as (like many other people) money is so tight at the moment. Tuition lessons is a brilliant idea which can be videoed and published as well and is definitely something worth considering! I hope everything goes well and the content really is incredible! Enjoy your drink and tight lines 🎣
