A little dab of mild locktite or gummy glue on the "tickover" screw will keep it where it belongs, and still let you adjust it. Here in the great white north, we learn young that it's no treat being out 2 miles in the bay with a storm brewing and your tickover screw is acting up. Lovely Show kids.

Go on a fear of flying course.My Hubby flew had a few moments that put him off so it was overland travel He loved driving down to the Eurotunnel into France travelling into Spain right down to the Costa Blanca.Then when the low cost carrier's started he thought he would go on a course...He went on a BA Course at Manchester Airport and never looked back! I work in Travel but couldn't persuade him to get back on a Plane.He does have his relaxing music on the plane.I let him have the window seat.The irony of it all he loves Plane Spotting and knows so much about different aircraft.We fly next month to Spain.Last year he flew 6 times.

You can overcome the fear of flying at any of the major airports around the UK, as they do courses for people that have a fear of flying, and when you’ve even finished the course they take you on a brief flight so that they can show you it’s not that bad

Well all the luck in the world guys, as I am sure you already know van conversions and vanlife bring their own challenges and rewards. We bought our sprinter a couple of years ago and have been getting out and about but wistfully watch you videos envious of peace and quiet and gentler pace of life. A rolling stone gathers no moss and if it's your time to mix it up? then go for it. The burning question will surely be will you have one van or one each ;-)

You asked for recommendations on where to travel. I recommend Andalucia in Southern Spain and, especially the Alpujarras Mountains. You travel north from the coast and beaches and up into the most beautiful mountain scenery, with snow on the top even when the weather is warm sunshine on the costas. You can hike or hire bikes. You’ll love it. But to be honest, as long as you two are together, it won’t matter much where you go.

Fear of flying used to be medicated using diazepam. Not sure if they still do that, but it takes a trip to the doc and request a written note (as airport regs can demand a note, if they see you under the influence). Might be advisable to also have a tablet you can take before the day of the flight so you know what to expect. I also compose and like your music.

The only thing about firewood stove / heater is it don't use power.. unlike diesel heater or any other gas type heater they use power and things can go wrong and until it's fixed no heat... That's why I love my woodstove..i can't begin to say how many times I was without electric in the middle of winter and I was at ease because of my woodstove and I even cooked on it...
@gordonchapman2228 ай бұрын
Yes it's much a better to have a fire stove over than a diesel heater. Even tho a fire takes more maintenance, just looking at it and dreaming about whatever is so much better for your wellbeing. Thanks for a lovely vlog, 5⭐,s

Sometimes Benny's voice is quite Bowie-esque. Hypnotism worked for a friend's fear of heights, and she was extremely sceptical. It might work for flying too. I've at last acquired my own boat! She's a bit bigger than Rambler, but nowhere near as big as Roisín. One day I plan to have her shipped across the channel, and work my way down to Marseille. Thank you for taking us along with you. I'm looking forward to your land-locked travels, but if I crave more water I can go back and watch you from the start.

Back to the canals:) Reason I guess you might not have seen any signs about going onto the Oxford Canal after Napton is that you were on the Oxford canal throughout - that bit where you said you'd moved onto the Grand Union was actually still the Oxford. Also although many people use the terms, I don't think there is any official distinction between the North Oxford and the South Oxford: I am not sure where one is supposed to start and the other finish - although the Oxford Canal south of Napton Locks does have a different character, winding all over the place and feeling somewhat more rural.

Looking forward to watching Alan's (oh and Alan's servants ) new adventures ! As for journeys, why not consider the 190 km Göta canal crossing Sweden from Gothenburg to Stockholm. You can do this by hire boat or on the Juno. All locks are manned so easy.

Sound exciting, I for one will still follow you. I started following Life in a Nutshell when they were on the canals over here, they are now sailing the southern oceans in their yacht. If your looking for a holiday here in Wales, how about hiring a boat on the Monmouth and Brecon canal or visiting some of the many narrow gauge railways here in Wales. How about visiting Pembrokeshire, lots of history here. I actually live near the place where the last invasion of Britain took place in 1797 when a French force of soldiers landed. they were heading for Bristol but wind blew them of course. they serenaded on Goodwick Beach after being fooled into thinking a massive force was coming up against them, the force where Welsh Women in tradisanal costume which resembled the army of the times. One welsh woman captured 12 French soldiers with just a pitchfork, her name was Jemima Nicholas. see link below. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYDPnp9uqqhohJo

Fear of flying I used to hate flying, being an engineer, I used to sit there and think about what could go wrong, when in actual fact it's the safest form of travel 👍 So now if there's any turbulence, I pretend that I'm just sitting on a coach and it's just bumps in the road. 30 years later and loads of flights taken, it now doesn't bother me at all, so just go for it and remember what I said 👍

It's costing us 4 euros for all waste and water, electric hook up and WiFi. Most of the time we use the free ones. We will be here till March then come back and get the boat ready for cruising the system over the summer. We love it and know how lucky we are. We have a big dog and he loves it too. Just go for it and enjoy. Ps hypnosis definitely works for flying.
