I follow a lot of Championship and lower league football, and I have no doubt that Archie Gray is ready to cook in the Prem. Like any young player, he's going to make mistakes in his personal development. I just hope that Spurs fans don't get on his back and undermine his confidence. Anyone who is old enough can look at the early days of Bale at Spurs and see how he struggled to develop and become the world superstar we all remember and love Gray is a diamond in the rough, and after watching him closely at Leeds, I'm convinced Spurs have a gem of a player on their hands. Just give the guy time to find his mojo #COYS

One of the reasons we are profitable and have renewed the structural foundations of the club for the next 100 years is to because our club management are financially savvy. Neither Mikey Moore (age) or Lankshear (to qualify as club trained) can go on loan this year. In addition, Mikey Moore is up for grabs until August when he can be officially signed, so needs to be provided a pathway to first team. A Toney signing at 28 would allow time for Moore & Lankshear to develop as much as I hate to admit it.

Sean, I totally understand that you're a numbers guy, but you can't get away from the fact that Spurs are now listed as the eighth wealthiest football club on the planet and have growing/huge revenue streams being generated outside of just playing the beautiful game. For Levy/ENIC it's all about brand development and looking to bringing in third party investment that has a focus and skill set in exploiting worldwide growth in the non football side of the club, ie NFL franchise and stadium events, ie concerts/other major sporting events. I'm definitely not Levy's greatest fan, but when it comes to business acumen, he definitely isn't a one trick pony

I'm confident we could make money on Kulu, Udogie, Sarr, Bergvall, Donley & Lankshear, but I don't think that is the point. Tottenham have created a structure to avoid further future signing failures. There are known risks such as Neto, but nobody could have predicted the Sess & Lo Celso injury issues. However, I think we have mismanaged young players. Skipp, Parrot et al & would like to see the club better manage their careers.

My concern is the pathway to the first team for our own academy players if we’re signing these young players at these prices. If we do still go and sign an Eze, Toney, Ramsey etc - this pathway will be even more restricted? On top of the graphic you showed there are still others like Dorrington and Veliz………I trust the process, just hope we get the balance right.

Arsenal is close to signing Calafiori and heavily linked to Nico Williams. Spurs are not closing the gap this season, signing 18 yr old kids and Werner. Ange was deluded, saying he wanted to win the league this season. By the time many of these players are in their prime, Ange will be gone due to them not being ready to perform. I see a step back this season now that he has to manage Europe and the PL. He couldn't keep players fit playing his system. Now add 15 more games.

Mate you are not making sense. The window is not even half way through and you are saying we are 'not closing the gap.' We are going to make more signings and we are going to improve the squad; simple. Archie is going to be able to perform because he is a really top player already (I've watched him). How are you blaming Ange for the injuries? Man United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Brentford, Wolves all suffered immense injuries last year. Is that Ange's fault? Ange is not deluded. Read his book and you will understand more. If we haven't signed anyone by the time the window closes, be my guest, complain. But right now, do not judge.

Are you reffering to Duoe? Because he is just as good on the right wing as left wing. And good as attacking mid too. He is very very talented. However Summerville is a better option in my opion for someone who plays both wings. His stats last season were unbelievable. And he has that prem experience under Bielsa. He was like 19/20 years old and was cooking. But He will cost more like 50mil. Maybe 40 if Skipp goes the other way, as well as a loan to them for someone like Veliz(He needs to adjust to English football) Even better Chiesa from Juve plays both wings is available for 30mil. Due to less than contract 1year left and their new manager needing the money they can get. Chiesa has has some bad injuries but is genuinely a world class winger on his day. Right or left wing. Even if he is injured for 15games a season. He will contribute alot of goals and assists from both wings. And we still have Kulu and Brennan. But my personal favorite choice would be Johan Bakayoko RW and can play CAM. But his price is like 60mil euros unfortunately.

There's little difference to what Spurs are doing, signing all these young players, to what Chelsea are doing. I see our fans say they have no plan. Difference is they're buying legit, top young talent for big fees. Spurs are taking 40m punt on a kid with 1 good season in the Championship. Perhaps our academy players could've had a decent season in the championship, but the club sucks at loaning players.

We have a lot of wingers, but only 2 fit the Ange profile. IMO we need winger competition for both Werner and Johnson who are without a doubt our best winger combo. I don’t want to see Deki play winger next season. He needs to be transitioned into Maddison’s role. He doesn’t have the pace or right foot to play rw and most of his best impact last season came from deeper positions. I don’t think striker is priority, Son just needs wingers to create width and get him the ball. I’d prioritize a 6, lb, and LCB over a striker right now.

⁠@jaedon7446 no reason Son can’t have a few games up top but he won’t ever effectively challenge for headers and he’s not good with his back to goal or strong enough. He is a player who needs the ball in front of him and his creativity is badly missed on the left when he isn’t playing there. We need a striker to compete with Richarlison and better hopefully.

@@ianwest7003 i don’t think there is a priority for a striker this window. The market isn’t strong in that area and would demand high fees for young strikers. I also don’t think a character like Ivan Toney would be good for our dressing room at all(no doubt he’s a good player). The reason Son isn’t effective is because our wing play isn’t effective. You get wingers who can beat a player or 2 and stretch the pitch, it will free Son up in the box to score goals. We play low driven crosses mostly so I’m not concerned about his heading ability.

Your comments about kulu are bizzare Sean. 3 assists in the league last season. I think he had 3 assists for the opposition with the bonehead free kicks he gave away in dangerous positions that resulted in goals. I love spurs the club I can't stand our fans . They talk so much crap and have such a losers mentality hence why we are the laughing stock of the prem and we have the title spursy. The fans need to demand more for what we pat and how much money the clubs make. Its all good buying young players but they will get to there prime and then leave us to seek silverware. The way we are set up we are tge biggest stepping stone before players move to clubs to seek honours.
