Do you change rod specific for dock skipping for a feider jig. I know Seth uses his 7’ MH. Curious to know what Shimano/Loomis has. That 7’5 seems a bit long.

I’m definitely not afraid of skipping a jig under a dock with a 7’5” heavy action rod and straight fluorocarbon but I too prefer a 7’1” MH rod, the 853 JWR NRX + to be exact with braid to fluorocarbon. If I was skipping nothing but docks, weeds etc. I’d use the shorter rod.
