Gayle a good use for those end pieces from your collage pages is to make them into a banner shape and put an eyelet in the top then attach them to a tag with a bulb pin.

Lol.....Gayle I’ve never thought to mention that I use large trays for all of the projects I’m working on, one per project therefore I can take everything involved in a project on or off my desk or anywhere in the house or garden to work on. One thing I’ve found useful is I have large zip lock bags (1 or 2 gallon bags) that my smaller trays fit in so if I knock over a tray everything on it is contained.

The collage scraps: I glue one to the top edge of the page and one to the bottom edge of the page. The middle of the page I stencil. I then make a journal card that will slide under the free edge of the collaged strip. You can also use them from side to side on a page if your book is not to thick.

Good Morning Gayle! You are so kind to list the Etsy shops as often as you do! I do go to your links after your videos and favorite those shops...that way when you mention a shop, most likely I have it favorited and it is easier for me to find the shops you mention! The page you did today reminded me of a secret garden!

For the page ends - you could hang them on tags as “charms” - then there would be a tiny hidden journaling spot on the back. 😁

For those cut off strips of scrapbook paper I sometimes will cut them a bit shorter, glue a word onto them and punch a hole. Then I hang them on a tag or journal card or on a tab on a page just for more interest. They could even be glued down the side of a page with a short phrase or set of words that have similar definitions for the words. Sometimes it looks great and sometimes not, but it might be something you could try out.

I had an epiphany while watching this. This would be the perfect way to attach 2 individual pages together (book or otherwise) to form a larger sheet for your signature. Since that wrapped around portion makes a "spine." And if you used book pages, it would cover up the blank margins. Plus use up book pages. Glad I caught this video today! You could use those thin collage page strips for mini tags!

I love craft room hacks! I use a tray to hold papers that i want to do a small batch of coffee dyed papers. I put a paper down, have a spray bottle dedicated to coffee, spray the paper, flip and repeat. I put the tray near a heating register and flip the papers as they dry. I usually will do around 6 or 7 layers. Paper, index cards, doilies. Its great!

I have a couple of trays. I use one when I'm fussy cutting to catch my excess paper. I can then sort out the bigger pieces and toss the rest. The other one I use when I'm working on the journal to put my scissors, punches, credit cards or any tools that seem to get buried. I'm no longer digging around looking for my tools.

Absolutely love the journal covers. What a beautiful journal they will make! Smart subbie ideas lately. Let’s see you have scrappy Saturday, use it Tuesday, mixed media Monday. So I think you need to start doing Gayles digi Thursday or something to that effect. Because you have beautiful digis and everyone needs to see how they can be used to inspire them to use them also. Love all the collage. Always do!

I love how the scrappy journal covers came out, they came out really good. I’m mulling over the tray idea in my mind. I went and looked on Amazon for the dimensions and I measured my cabinet and they’ll fit, I was worried they be too wide but they’re not. Right now I have baggies like you do and I have the baggies stored upright in empty magazine holders. I have the cardboard magazine holders from IKEA where I had all my crafty magazines, my Cloth, Paper Scissors and Somerset Studio which I sold all of them on eBay during a giant purge. But, I kept the magazine holders and I have my baggies in there but I’m thinking about the trays. The trays are going to take up more room on my desk or my kitchen island where are usually craft, I have to mull it over in my head for a while. Also, i’ll probably check out the Dollar Tree or the $.99 Store before I pull the trigger on Amazon.

The long leftovers from collage pages: 3 as a belly band with a little space between to weave a journal card through. Does that make sense? If not, I can put a pic on your fb group. Can go vertical or horizontal depending on the length of your pieces. I often do the wrap around of the scraps; I first saw Amy at Crafty Cat do it I think. I've done it on journal cards and pockets as well (just a bit thinner edge). Happy Crafting. Have a delightful day! Love&hugs

For those skinny pieces of journal cards make them into mini tags for little pockets and as add ons for stacked tags or on bulb clips with other mini things. You could even punch them shapes if you have some wide enough. Ohhh I just thought you could stamp numbers on them or letters and emboss them for something neat! And those fabric bits covers are Gorgeous!

regarding the long narrow strips: suggest weaving the strips together for a larger piece. Even just a small piece of weaving would be a lovely accent. Plus the occasional fiber, fabric or lace added to the weave would add an additional dimension. Love your all ideas! Thanks!!

I tried the trays for awhile, but now I have all of my scraps sorted by color and then I have them by size - small, medium and large. I have all of my large scraps in an alpha expanding folder that sits by my work table and my mediums are all in bags and filed in a box so I can easily see what I have by color. Still not sure if I am going to stay like this, or maybe I'll try trays by color with all sizes (larger in bag so the little stuff doesn't get lost in the mix. I just moved into a new craft room and have more space so I am trying to figure out the best storage solutions for everything now. I love it!

Oh my, those covers came out gorgeous...how lovely! Great suggestion on the trays and I think I’ll borrow the idea myself because my scraps are a mess! Was able to snag some great paper from Mary’s sale so thanks for giving us a heads up. I wish we had snow...heck, I’d take ANY weather that closely resembled winter!...by Wednesday we will be in the high 80’s!😫
