Artist here, you don’t need a paperlike screen protector! They get oily easily and can be a bother to clean, also they add a lot of glare to the screen. I see it recommended all the time but I really don’t care for them haha

Thanks for saying this. Sometime this year I want to buy an iPad Pro with a Pen but was seriously considering Paperlike for the pen and writing part. Hearing from an artist that it's not necessary is a huge plus and helps me make the decision to not to get it.

@@viwer4468 I’m glad, it can definitely be an investment so make sure when you’re considering add-ons to pay attention to negative reviews as well. A lot of creators get sponsored to be positive towards certain products and it can make the buying process a bit difficult :”)

I have the paper like screen protector. And yes if your pen tip is had some small bumps or is damaged of if there's dust between the pen and ipad, yes it scratches. Yes it glares. But! If you use it like me, to mainly draw and write, I highly recommend it. Yes, it's not cheap. But the iPad in general is expensive and I find my handwriting to improved soooo much. For my personal experience a regular screen protector was just too slippery. And no, I don't get paid, nor am I an influencer.

Actually, I think I have not seen any artist recommending paperlike. As far as I have read, paperlike obliterates the tip of the pencil in months.

recently bought (and love) the vision journal, but i do wish it was available in portrait orientation/format. feels better and more natural to write that way on the ipad for me.

I got all the portable set up. Magic Keyboard, Folio Keyboard or Magic Bluetooth keyboard/track pad. Magic Keyboard is worse. Favourite is Folio Keyboard, which allows me to use my iPad naturally and have the keyboard handy when need it.

It’s much easier on desktop if you’re creating it from scratch. I use my iPad to utilize the systems already created / not create new ones (if that makes sense!)
